Problem - MQ2Navigation not loading

Hi all. I am setting up a new computer to run Eq and MQ2/KA. I have installed Eq and MQ properly and then copied over what I thought were all of the relevant macs, inis, folders, etc. from one of my working machines. I then did an update with the new Redguides installer (pointing it to the proper new directories). Everything seems to be running properly except MQ2Navigation. When I try /plugin mq2navigation load, I get the error Plugin 'mq2navigation' could not be loaded. Did I miss a file or something? I wonder if I am missing something obvious? Any thoughts on what to check next?

Let me guess windows 10 on a new pc?

Ive banged my head against this one every way I could think and have no working solution. I can only get mq2nav to work on my windows 10 pc that got an upgrade from a previous version of windows. I cant get it running on my new laptop with a fresh 10 install. Frustrating. I played with powershell, permission settings, folder ownership, different users with different administrators rights... If you figure it out please let me know. Would love to have a fix.

Yeah, Win 10, but I did the upgrade from Win 7 before installing/transferring the EQ/MQ data. I think I changed the folder rights and permissions properly too. I placed everything in the default EQ installation location which is C:\users\public\daybreak game company\installed games. Maybe I'll try putting it in a different folder. Any other suggestions?

I tried both copying the folder to a new destination and doing a clean install to another location. Neither did it for me.

Hmm. i noticed that the mesh creation program does not run (though I copied my working meshes over). It poops out with a MSVCP100.dll and MSVCR100.dll are missing from your computer message. Are there dependencies on those files for the plugin? Or other dependencies?

Please try and place MQ2 on an different drive than C, same with EQ if that doesent help.

Yep. I tried a different drive (well, a usb stick) and still no luck. I am not sure what to try next.

I have setup prolly 15 EQ PCs in the last year, trust me on this shit ya GOTTA do DirX9 1st!!! then upgrade to whatever DirX is current for your pc, then either the 32 or 64 bit of C++

BTW Microsoft could remove those links at any time, so do yourself a favor, SAVE the files locally!

Alright! Thanks for digging into this and solving it Redbot. Thanks Razkle for the further advice. Now to send a crew to the Gribble HA's for a few days.
