Well feral swipe start to really piss me off, lmao, at look at lucy they added a combat ability timer for it, and it's a fucking aa last time i check rofl...

Well if it's not working i wont be able to do miracle without a beast login accounts.

Roundkick doesn't seem to activate. I use MQ2Melee regularly, so general setup is fine. Kick works fine. I turn off kick, turn on Roundkick but Roundkick never fires. Anyone have a clue what I've overlooked? Or is it possibly a melee bug?

Nevermind, unloaded the plugin, re-loaded, and it started working. I'm guessing it's because I gained the ability in the middle of the session and the plugin didn't realize I had access to the ability

Well i get confirmation it was working this afternoon, person forget to load MQ2Cast, as soon as he did it start working ... if problems seems to persist i will pm ya bro...
 
WHATS NEW IN THIS RELEASE

Well this update is mostly for the addicted mq2melee rogues out there. I totally rewritten and re-engineer the opening attacks. "assasination and sneak attack" logic. I want to take this opportunity again to thanks "smyrk" for letting me sexually abuse his rogue, wish that he haved "twisted shank" i could have use that opportunity to verify it is working as intended by myself. Playing a rogue for a few hours last nite confirm me that i wanna be one, im defenitively looking for a high end rogue, epic 1.5+, 1000aa+, coa/ds/tob access if possible and server transferable.

GENERAL:

-Change default disc ready formula to add half a sec hoping it will resolve issue with discipline that get triggered a little to fast.

-Change attack key binding method, mq2melee will no longer bind itself in parallel with attack key, but instead now mq2melee take over with full control over the attack key. this fixes issue i describe on mq2 forums and make mq2melee react better like it was originally design for. Original binding should always be restore when you unload or camp, well i hope!

-Change challengefor logic to fire only when aggro is established. this helps Paladins and Shadow Knights because their aggro are quite weak unlike warriors, this will give them a good boost overtime, but isn`t as effective as stuns/terrors lines for quick aggro needed when aggro is lost or when trying to gain aggro. this is based on Pennington01 works, thank you.

-Verbal message added at end of melee help, if MQ2MoveUtils and/or MQ2Cast plugin are missing or desuate.

ROGUE:

-Fully integrated detection of "Seized Opportunity" alt ability, plugin will now by itself setup default stab angle according to level you bought in that ability. The "backstab=" settings will no longer the angle for stabbing but a general on/off switch to use or not use backstab ability.

-Modify default built-in stick behaviour to not force "behind" mode if you have maxed out "Seized Opportunity" alt ability.

-Added "assasinate" setting on/off to allow mq2melee to use special rogue opening attack script, setting should not show up to the list till you have "backstab" and "melee" turn on, and that scripted sequence should automatically abort, if you get hit, swing at target, or target start moving. Goal of that script is to make sure you are sneaking, make sure you are hiding, get you in a decent angle to backstab, then finally stab. Each progression step required to be fully immobilized.

-Added rogue strike discipline line, best detected strike discipline should configure to be use. Currently supported discipline are: "Sneak Attack", "Thief`s Vengeance", "Assasin Strike", "Kyv Strike", "Ancient: Choas Strike", "Daggerfall", "Razorarc".

-Added "strike" setting on/off to authorize mq2melee to use strike discipline. This add an extra step to the assasinate opening attack code (note that dont wont be used if "assasinate" is off). If "strike" setting on and detected strike discipline ready, it will trigger that discipline right before backstabbing target.

-Added "strikeif" user condition that could reduce frenquency that plugin attempt to use strike discipline and give you a chance to control your endurance pool.

NOTES:

-Plugin wont use aa, spell, or clicky item unless you have MQ2Cast plugin loaded.

Well changes binding again, for some reason i was testing some weird plugins and i crashed, when i load back in game i was unable to attack at all, all biding mq2melee and original attack key binding where gone, so i have to sit down and find another solutions that wont remove original attack key binding for attack.

I added 2 defines at start of mq2melee.cpp files MELEE_KEY and RANGE_KEY, those are letters that will be assign for melee /killthis and range /throwit. Make sure that those are not mapped to something that might be used in eq. Or replace eq one before loading mq2melee.

default binding for melee key is "a"
default binding for range key is "z"

For those curious people, plugins will work with eq attack key, but if you attempt to turn off attack with that key you might start a war with your keyboard, so start to get use to use melee key instead of attack key to turn attack on/off :)

Well im currently working on updating this plugin over this weekends, i will need to know what have been added in game that is not supported by mq2melee and should be ... ie: update to berzerker volleys line etc...

Hey Salomo, are there previous versions of this disc from lower levels under a different name? That would help immensely in pinning down where to add this to MQ2Melee code.

I dont know. I think its a update for the "Rake" Disc, but i am not 100% sure.

Today i tried to get some info about this but didnt find someone who have the disc.
 
Ok. Worked out getting Harrow to work (I think.) No Beastlord to test it out, but if someone here would and let me know if it works, it would be appreciated.

Do a Find for Rake in the MQ2Mellee.cpp file and add the following in their respective places.

Well combined togheter all the little fixes and updates that people suggested in the last few months. I want to thankx everyone that try hard to keep this plugin up to date and also all that reported little issues. I also added most of the latest expansion abilities that were an update to a previous skill supported by mq2melee. Their might still be some aa missing or some new nice things to be added in next few days, just post up request for them!

When im not the main tank i want to turn off incite Disc, but i cant fuigure out how. Everything else turns on and off easy enough, Anyone able to help out?

With the AA Whipe or Rework they changed to ONE LINE AA
so Feral Swipe is Feral Swipe and nothing else so that the player dont need to look what is the next update.
Same for Roar of Thunder.
i think Replenish Companion is also the heal pet aa. And there is a "Mend Companion" AA. So the pet heal have 2 AA.
First is Mend Companion
Second is Replenish COmpanion

it should display all settings available ... i think its aggro that need to be turn off ie:

/melee aggro=0

Yes SOE turn his Brain on.
YOu got befor the AA Patch a AA Feral Swipe and another aa called Jagged Claw and so with the other aa.
Now SOE patched the AA that you have 1 LINE of aa and behind this you see from wich Expansion it is. So you dont have Innate Intelligence in General and Archtype. You have now 15 Points for this in General.
Now you have only General, Archetype and Class as AA roster.

Hope this help you a little bit what SOE have done.
I only have BST and Cleric. sometimes i play Berserker and Monk. I will look into this aa if you need help.

I've been speculating on a 4-5 box setup. The remaining questions mostly revolve around what DPS to box. The general idea is Tank->Healer->Slower->DPS. So I have to consider what classes to fit those roles. I already have a Bard, 2 Wizards, and 3 Rangers waiting at Level 70, so I don't want any more of those.

I was thinking along the lines of a melee DPS like Berserker or Rogue, but my knowledge is mostly about casters (I only use the Rangers for simple archery, a couple of buffs, and emergency heals). The thought of learning how to really play Zerk/Rogue, etc., classes and then translating that skill to a macro is a bit daunting. I didn't even want to consider a pet class like a Mage due to the difficuly of the macro involved and my lack of good knowledge there.

It appears that you have already done that. Did I say awesome yet? Now I don't want to degenerate the thread into a big class discussion, but, knowing what you know about the bot-ability of each class...

Assume that the Tank is a Warrior and the Main healer is a Cleric.
I haven't yet decided who the slower will be, especially since the Enchanter seems to have been revitalized somewhat in the last expansion, but assume the slower function is already filled.
Assume that Bard, Ranger, and Wizard are not to be considerd.

Then, knowing what you know about the bot-ability of melee classes and mq2melee in particular, what would you select as the top 2 most effective choices for boxed DPS? Keep in mind any DPS boost or buffs the box(es) might have on other characters as well.

I appreciate your input.

Monk would be good for the aura. Berserker would also be good added DPS with the right gear.
 
im not sure if this is the plugin i should use or not. but this is what i am trying to do.

i would like to use my necro to kite with and have my sk just pet and auto follow mob while attacking. what should i use ?

Was thinking /stick. but will that look kinda odd if some one see's him sticking to a mob better than normal?
 
i am having problems using my bard, when i mez a mob the joker imediately runs in and wacks it, kinda pain in the ass when i use my aa mez *bard version* i hit the hot key and it runs in and wacks it, thus waking the mob, wiping my group, same problem using my singin mez it wont let me mez one the toggle to the mob i was currently wacking, i have a hot key with attack off, dont mean to ramble, just trying to get it to recognize im mezzing then switching to another target without it, running in and waking the mezzed mob

when i try to edit this with /melee help i get /echo domelee help


i found this line in my macroquest.ini file /melee=/echo domelee if i delete it the i can change melee stuff in game for a bit than doesnt work.

One of the macros you are running is most likely doing a

find that line, delete it and you should be gtg.
 
I appologize if this is a strange question.

But let me state some information and allow me to know if this is possible.

Tanking a mob. Using 1 Shield to Bash, the Other to Tank [it has much higher AC/HP] [the shield to bash has a proc on it; so you want to be bashing with that]. Is there any way for the plugin to switch the shields?

So the tanking would be like:

Shield 1 [High AC, HP]
Shield 2 Bashes [Proc]
Switch to Shield 1, once Bash timer back
Switch to Shield 2 Bash [Proc]

etc.
 
I have an issue with whenever I turn aggro off. I'll sit when the mob starts to flee instead of sticking. Actually, I'll sit a lot period.

But let me state some information and allow me to know if this is possible.

I would addd a Holyshit line in your toonname_server.ini something like

Holyshit1=/if (!${Me.AbilityReady["Bash"]} && ${Me.Combat} && ${Target.ID}) /exchange HPShield offhand


There may be a way to do this without adding 2 flags but I havent been able to figure out how to add multiple things on one line sorry. But this will probably work for you

Just put your shields names with " " around them or the ID number of the shield where I put your ProcShield and HPShield in those lines. before you change these I would do /melee save so it creates the toonname_server.ini and tehn once you open it add those lines and save it you can do /melee load to make the changes to your in game toon. Hope this works first time but I am not MR. Sorcerer, so my code may be flawed.

What class are you playing and post your toonname_server.ini (without any names in it.
 
ah 2 weeks late but had to respond to this.



that sitting issue sounds alot like the moveutils bug. reloading moveutils usually helps.

moveutils in combination with melee sometimes when you try to stick to melee will just sit down.
