Have you guys try the updated .dll that was posted yesterday? As far as I know it fixed the twitching problem, or whatever you wanna call it.

Not yet, only just downloaded it. What's your thoughts on the 'visibility on map', Random?
 
Ok, the new download fixes the twitching. Excellent :D
Tested it out on 2 PCs with MQ2 running. I cannot see the ghosted person moving on the map at all. It only looks like a warp when they use /ghost off and they've moved from the start point. Slightly strange anomaly when zoning with ghost still on. The ghosted person sees that they are at zin, but the grouped non ghosting person could not see them there at all, and according to their map they were not there either. Warped to their location, and appeared in a very strange room.

If you use the zone viewer there's also another hidden area with the same wallpaper.

That's an old GM room. Most old zones have those and most are located at 0,0,0. The locs they have written on the walls are succor locations or zone-ins. Try going to dragon necropolis and warping to 0,0,0. I think there's one in there and barely anyone goes there so could safely check it out.

There is one in Crystal Caverns. I do nto know the loc, but zoned into CC one day and found myself in it. I had no clue what the writing on the walls were, and was stuck. This was in my first year of EQ when non MQ2 EQ was still fun. So, I had to petition to get pulled out of the zone. I could hear people fighting near the top of the zone but could not get out for the life of me. When the GM finally showed up he accused me of cheating, and I was like WTF, how do I cheat at this game? Lol, now I am here....

I would be stuck using the crap SDK that came with the C++ book for my programming classes....
I have yet to get the free SDK in the mail, but when I do it's going to make my life a little easier, I mean hell, he just saved me from shelling out $400.00 for an SDK.

If I get some spare cash in the next week or 3 I will gladly donate to Random for being kind enough to post a .dll for this plug.
 
Ok guys, simple request as its part of the Redguides policies. If you can't say something thats not a flame, don't post anything at all. We don't like attacks of any sort towards others. If you have a problem where you think that its too powerful for general use the best way to do something about it is simply to pm the author of it and talk to him/her about the plugin and/or request that certain things be changed because of your concerns.
Personally I'd rather go through 100 pm's about how people think that a plugin is too powerful than have to go through 100 posts of both sides saying how they think it is and isn't too powerful plus all the flames against people interjected into the opinions.
We all pay to be here, we all deserve the same respect whether you're ticked off or not. If you even think your comments may be taken the wrong way I would like to ask that you copy it to notepad or something for when you calm down and then go over it again, fix it, then post your comments.

well its not if someone is trying to govern you specifically. its more like the saying alittle leaven ruins the whole loaf. there are a few people who when they recieve something "powerfull" they grief and screw over other people so much that it was better for the content to not have been released at all(people crashing bazaar and so on)
 
siddin, I know I act like an ass on these forums, but I don't get this way unless someone acts like dirtynumbangel does consistently. I've spoken to Redbot on many occaisions about how blatantly retarded he acts and I understand that since he pays for the service Redbot is not allowed to take the kind of action I really, REALLY, wish he would take. I deal with people like him every day that attempt to act like they know what they're talking about, and I don't take that kind of shit even face to face in real life. I absolutely hate it, especially if they act like they aren't aware of how stupid they are.

Just to shed a bit of light on how infuriating it is, imagine that you're the person who built the automobile and then someone who has no clue about its design or even the concept that makes it work walks up and says "Hey, let me tell you what, I'll make that machine run even better than you could ever have." Then, 3 minutes later, it's a broken mess and they're yelling at you "OH MY GOD WHAT DID YOU DO WHY DID YOU BREAK THIS OH MY GOD FIX IT NOW NOW NOW." Essentially, I feel like I'm the original designer in that situation everytime dirtynumbangel adulterates this forum by posting on it.

I know, I'm a very big, very angry man. I should really take some anger management classes before I have a stress-induced heart attack.
 
To repharse what I said .....

its offensive to pay a membership for a website and to read things were your are put down because you can't create plugins/compile. Not trying to flame or start anything....but I think this is much less offensive than some things I have read in regards to people who don't have enough computer skills to creat plugins/compiles (and those posts have stayed up).

If someone walks up to me and says "I have such and such problem with my computer and I'd much appreciate it if you could provide me some help" I simply respond "Sure, no problem." However if someone walks up to me and says "Hey, I have a problem with the twin cooling gigs in my Dell Artholawn processor and I've tried defarging my hard dick already but it didn't work, can you fix it?" I immediately say "Fuck you, go to hell before I rip your nuts off and shit up your urethra."

I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you are willing to admit that you are helpless when it comes to doing something and have no idea how to make it work I don't mind it as long as you act atleast like you have some decency. However, if you're a douche and try and pretend like you're skilled when you have no clue what you're shitting out of your mouth I will proverbially rape your soul.

I was just trying to learn something, and trying to be confident. Excuse me for thinking positively when nothing in my life seems to be worth even that much effort. I just wanted to understand, and share my opinions.

As you have proven I do not belong here or anywhere else. So I will try to avoid posting anything close to a question, as you stated, I could not possibly understand a simple concept.... So i will no longer burden you with my curiosities.
If I find an exploit I will post that I think I have found something.
If I have a coment about a plugin and some aspect of it not working I will post about that and say that it is most likely something I am doing wrong.

Now that you all realize just how worthless a waste of sperm and egg I am I can crawl back into the puddle I came from and leave you all be as much as possible.

This plugin is now nerfed? Darn, one of the best plugs for ages, gone cos of some flame thread. They were all deleted by the time I got here, so I never saw what it was about anyways.

Ghost wasn't supposed to have the GhostKill abilities in it, it was accidental. If RG meant for people to openly be able to solo mobs everywhere again it would definitely be back.

You can do the same things, but RG disabled all of the ghostkill type features...if you were using it as a standard ghost, you're still golden.

Ah cool. I didn't realize it had any ghostkill abilities. I mainly used it for checking out areas ahead of going in properly with a group/raid. Looting the odd rotting mob lying around was a nice bonus of course. :) I'm glad the ghostkill abilities are gone. Less likely it will be nerfed.
 
added ${Ghosting.Status}, ${Ghosting.Y}, ${Ghosting.X}, & ${Ghosting.Z} so you guys can put it in your UI's and/or HUD's.

7/6/06- Ghosting automatically gets turned off when it detects you zoning. This is so you don't end up in funky places in the zone if you forget to turn it off before zoning.
 
Darn...I read every message before I think I figured out what happened. You can still loot, but you can not open the chest to loot. That must have been part of the ghostkill features that were nerfed. Any chance to enable just the "open" command?
