swamp's name changed and second loc added.

[Trakanon]
The Swamp of no Hope - 1=1500.00 4448.00 -275
The Swamp of no Hope - 2=1540.00 4500.00 -270

Are all of these being added to the .ini file or do we need to add them in every time now.
i updated the example-ini, too.
so at this point the sample ini should contain everything - no need to browse through this thread on your own.
(I did that a while ago - so I know the pain *grin*)

Pretty sure I am just not seeing it, where is this example-ini ?

Overview had date of last update June 6 2019 but that seems the post you updated?

correct.
You can see that when you hit the "history" link (and can compare versions that way, too).

Editing the resource apparently doesn't make an "update" of it.
A while ago I also did some alpha-reordering of entries to make verifications of entries a bit easier witout having to continuously use search.

[Trakanon]
The Ruins of Sebilis=door: -1589.99 -4773.48 -471.88

Sebilis works perfectly well already - just tested it these days with the mesh from RG. Which mesh are you using?

Currently we have it as:
INI:
The Ruins of Sebilis=door:12 -1583 -4751 -471
which is ok. Yours is missing the door id, btw.

I couldn't find that one when I looked through. I must have overlooked it. I honestly have no clue what meshes I'm using these days. It might be one I generated or the one I downloaded.

maybe you have an ini from "long ago" .-)
Might be useful to go and check with the updated one (it is in alphabetic order - so you should be able to find stuff more easily than before).

Went through and combined my INI with the updated one. Here are the ones I have that aren't in the INI:

[Feerrott]
The Rathe Mountains=400 3410 6

[Maiden]
The Umbral Plains=-275 -2100 -150

[Qeytoqrg]
The Western Plains of Karana - 1=1240 -2475 0

[WarsliksWood]
Lake of Ill Omen=-3660 1150 55

went ahead and added yours.
Each one we get helps with /travelto smile because it is highly annoying if you head for the bathroom returning with the toon standing still.

Couple more- they had been fixed travelling east to west but not the return west to east. I may have had to add a few connections on the RG meshes at zone lines too such as Qeynos Hills->West Karana, Qeynos Hills->North Qeynos, West Karana->North Karana, North Karana->East Karana and North Karana->South Karana. Not 100% on all of them because my method has been to add a connection first to the mesh where there's a break due to an invisible wall and then alter the find loc if that doesn't fix it.

INI:
[northkarana]
The Eastern Plains of Karana=20 -3200 -33.59

[Qey2HH1]
The Northern Plains of Karana - 1=640 -16200 0
Qeynos Hills=70 70 -3

[Qeytoqrg]
The Western Plains of Karana - 1=1240 -2475 0
North Qeynos - 1=-450 250 -4

INI:
[Qey2HH1]
The Northern Plains of Karana - 1=640 -16200 0
This is a completely different zoneline than we had with The Northern Plains of Karana - 1=-4233 -16483 -60.

Do you remember the rough position on the map? Otherwise I will have to run there and confirm it :-)
It being the y loc completely different it most likely is just another position. The thing is: Which makes most sense?

Grobb didn't work for InnothuleB

INI:
[InnothuleB]
Grobb=-2350 -1190 10
The City of Guk=-12 -1185 23

I noticed in game that the mesh is a little off from the world itself.

I had to edit my mesh for innothuleb to get to the city of guk as well.

Maybe there's a similar issue going to grobb.

I'm gonna stick with saying this is correct, ran out to double check it tonight

INI:
[Qey2HH1]
The Northern Plains of Karana - 1=640 -16200 0

It's one big open zoneline so, the y loc I gave (640) is in the northern part of the zone - on the actual trail from Qeynos Hills to North Karana and is basically a straight run east from the Qeynos Hills zone in. The y loc of -4233 is way to the south and not even on land. The only downside to this y loc is it runs you straight through a camp of bandits which sucks if you're low level and not invis....

The x loc of -16483 is on the other side of a break in the nav mesh on the redguides mesh and cant be pathed to, changing to -16200 fixes this.

Running this on TLP is great but when it comes to a zone with a Magus connection is there a way to bypass this?

Example
Character in innothule swamp
/travelto commonlands
Character gets stuck in South Ro as it is trying to find a Magus that doesn't yet exist in the game instead of manually running through North Ro

Ran into an issue in The Steppes, this seemed to work.

INI:
[Steppes]
Icefall Glacier=2186.00 -514.00 374.00

What do I need to adjust to get my toons to swim under the awning outside Kedge Keep? Currently the find window leads me to the awning above the entrance to Kedge not under the awning and into Kedge.

Hey, I've started playing on my own EMU server using the RoF2 client. I've run into a problem using /travelto 'zone' because in the RoF2 client the 'Zone Connections' aren't listed in the find window.

I've been doing a bit of digging for a solution but haven't found anything. Anyone know of a workaround for this?

Is there a text file in my eq game install folder that holds the contents of the find window for each zone? Is it something serverside that I would need to edit?

Obviously I can just use gm commands to move zones but would prefer to get /travelto working

Same, I noticed that as well. Exactly like with ToV East Wastes to CC - the characters pace back and forth on top of the zone line.

Added:

[FreeportWest]
The Commonlands=38.49 410.92 -17.39

[Feerrott]
Innothule Swamp=-1132.03 -3145.22 -12.34
The Rathe Mountains=400.00 3424.26 0

Had help linking the Nav Mesh for Feerrott --> Innothule to make it work

Another to add (Sorry). After chattin with the boys and NRo, we did:

[NorthRo]
The Commonlands=6641.91 -371.49 45.49

This will get you the top of the NRo tunnel by CL. Won't get ya through it but wil get ya close so you can atleast run out after a sky raid, hit ctrl+f and get pretty darn close

hell yeah dude - you *should* be able to directly add to the first post, if you can't i'll edit and add them for you

Added the freeportwest commandlands one - looks like feerrott already had working locs

Think I found a crash on this related to PoK books and TLPs (prior to PoP of course). You can see PoK books in the find window on the TLP servers but if you hit find to it, your client crashes. Presumably because the book isn't there.

I just wanted to use that location because it was close where I needed to go :)

Is there a way to integrate MQ2EasyFind with in-game tracking (or mq2tracking)? Sometimes the find window is very limited.

MQ2Map, show spawns, use the search window to find the spawn you want.
I was thinking more along the lines of being able to navigate to a target from the track window "WITHOUT" targeting it.
Trying to stay off DBG/DPG radar...don't want to target something too far away by clicking it on the map and /nav target.

You don't have to target it from the Map. You can click near it. If it's unique you can navigate to its ID without ever targeting it.

Easyfind is mostly built around navigating between zones and following the find line. Something that modifies the track window to follow tracking is probably a different plugin (and would likely just be "get the ID and Nav to it" which is why I mentioned the map).
