MQ2Cleric

Plugin - MQ2Cleric (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

Hi, I have a strange situation with my toon which is using MQ2Cleric that I can't figure out. It may or may not have to do with MQ2Cleric. When I cast Levitate on my group all the toons "float" except the Cleric. It almost seems there is a setting somewhere that is forcing the Cleric as low as possible. I have looked in all the places I can think of and have not found a setting that looks like it would control this. Looked in MQ2Nav first and didnt see anything there. Funny thing is Cleric seems to "float" when I first log in but goes into "sink" mode after the first battle. Any ideas on what might be causing this or places to look? Thanks.
If you have a camp set, and have useswimfix turned on, we'd try and put you down towards your camp (swimming or levitating), but that is all toons and not just cleric.

But only with that setting on, and only with a camp set that you're floating above

Hi, I failed to say that this is when I am traveling so no camp set. It is only this toon and multiple toons run CWTN programs. It is also intermittent, which makes it especially hard to pin down. I looked for settings in MQ2nav first and didnt see anything there. I was just hopping maybe there was a setting in MQ2Cleric that I didnt recognize that might be causing this action. It sounds like probably not. But as long as I am posting thanks again for the plugins. I run them on all the toons I have in my group that you have a plugin available for.

Update: This activity seems to happen on other toons, although more rarely. The action seems to be the same as when there is something on agro and in the camp radius. i.e., the toon navigates down to the floor to attack a mob there. However, there is nothing on agro or at least in my extended target window. (The toon does not attack, it is just the navigation is the same although the action happens when moving) If I camp and come back the affected toon will then navigate normally. I have looked and can not find anything in MQ2nav or in the CWTN settings that looks like it would change this behavior. So still a mystery but I will keep observing.

More info: If I zone or camp the affected toon it will clear the problem.

ive tried everything , this has never happened before and ive used mq2cleric on live and other emu servers

i can see mq2cleric in my plugin manager . cant figure out what to do

I see that you purchased cleric, if your intention was to use it for EMU then there is no need to purchase it, as it comes free with EMU (when we can get back to supporting it), you are of course welcome to a refund if your intention was not to use it for live.

One of my 3 mages keeps casting Iceflame Barricade over and over and wont stop. Mage 1 is paid account and has RK.ll spell (no issues) Mage 2 f2p off of Krono now has RK.l spell no issues. Mage 3 is f2p off Krono now but has RK.ll spell and this one is the issue. It wont let me delete the RK.ll spell to see if that fixes the issue so what do I do? I have most spells at RK.ll and he don't cast them over and over.. why this one?

I have a Friend that has the same exact issue as i do. one of his mages keeps casting Iceflame over and over and he is a paid account. we a boggled by what's going on.

Any ideas?

you already sent me a msg about this.

Please also make sure to post in the correct location.

I would double check that you're UI is correct and you don't have a bad pet ui window.

if you went silver, i would go all access or get the rank 2 unlocker - this might be one of the eq spells that doesn't cast the spell it says it does if you go silver.

everything i run is out of the box everquest and cwtn that is it. no tweeks no mods. i will buy the RK.ll unlocker

Curious question because testing is hard: In an environment where I have both a group and extended target, which is the priority for healing?
I have noticed, in my experiences, that it opts for "greatest number of targets" and therefore uses a splash heal first, but in terms of if I have 2 tanks (1 in group and 1 on xtar) which would be the programmatic priority?

I use a custom spellset for my chosen spells with BYOS enabled. I fill my xtar with outside tanks and preferred "keep my buddy alive" targets, which also uses ress on them as it would my group (with raid mode on it will just ress everyone in range).

Also, is there a priority ress list? Such as, group first, xtar second, raid mode "everyone" third? Any class selection in that decision-making?

group heals -> single heals -> xtarget

rezzing - this obviously changes a bit depending on combat or not - as we wouldn't rez ourselves in combat
ma -> self -> xtarget -> raid

xtargets are always treated as non-MA xtarget toons

as a further expansion - it is likely and possible that some stuff in the future is extended to things like "group ma or if we're in raidmode, if they are a raid ma" would get priority for things like rezzes

Greetings..

I am having issues loading MQ2 cleric. It states the following:

I have renewed the subscription to MQ2 Cleric (receipt#35872) paid Jan 22, 2023, 5:50:24AM

I am not computer saavy so any assistance given would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Anyone else have this issue ever so often.
I've noticed a few times that for some reason my crew will be engaged with mobs and all the sudden the cleric isn't healing and the tank dies.. then of course they now kill off the rest pretty easy.. I click the cleric and notice the spell book is open.. once I close it it starts rezzing and healing agian.. so for some reason it is leaving the spell book open all of the sudden.

Q. I sometimes get stuck in my spell book?
A. This is often due to your background fps not being high enough. It is strongly advised to utilize at LEAST 30 fps for background, recommended 60+ background fps. The fps cycle for eq is where "work" is done. If your background fps is set to "min" you can and will have undesired results with all sorts of automation activities.
Alt-O -> Display -> Advanced - > Max Background FPS
You will also need to check if you are using any external background fps limiting software - like isboxer - and adjust that accordingly.

yep, what the others said above.

now in the plugins themselves we actually try and force you to have a min background fps - but that doesn't mean that those resources are available to your toon.

if you are starving your toons of resources due to pc bloat, or not using frame limiter, or dust, cig smoke, cat hair, etc you're going to want to resolve those things.

if you just don't want to try and sort any of that out, or have problems, just turn on usemelee - forcing into melee combat will drag you out of the spellbook

Q. Do I need to assign what Xtargets to watch for XTargetBuffing?
A. Nope - Just toggle on UseXTargetBuffing and it will check all your Extended Targets to see if they are PCs and then buff them (they still need to be running mq2cwtnbuffs and be local)

I want to make sure I am understanding this correctly. If I am on a toon and I am running say MQ2Shaman and i am grouped with a friend who is running MQ2Cleric does that mean even If I am grouped with him he won't auto buff me since I am not local? Or does this only apply to ETW?

Also on a side note I seem to remember reading that CWTN plugins will not assist in combat (other than healing) from outside the group. Am I remembering that wrong or is there a way to make them work?

we only can buff local toons (not including coincidental group buffs)

we also don't assist out of group - the sticky has links to several threads about that information

First time I notice this so may be OK, but my cleric is showing that he is missing lower lvl spells when I start the plugin. Specifically I have Sincere Remedy (111) and it shows I am missing Merciful Remedy (106) and Spiritual Remedy (101).

yes.

you should get anything a plugin tells you that you are missing.

several spell lines in various plugins we use multiple of the same spell line.

stahp questioning the plugins =p let them do their job --- if they tell you you're missing a spell, go get it - always start with the higher level one, then work backwards.

Pretty sure this is gone over in a few of the guides :p

so obligatory:

I looked through the plugin links and don't see how to save selections on the UI for my toon. Is there a was to svae what I've clicked or unclicked without using the .ini file?

Thanks- BB

Q. The UI Window Doesn't save my settings?
A. This is intentional. The UI acts as a "hot swap" allowing you to adjust on the fly. If you want to "save" your settings, adjust it with the slash command.
Explained here > UI Video @ 9:10 <

This is listed in the FAQ for every plugin, and it's pretty much the first thing in the FAQ.

I strongly suggest checking out the full FAQ for every plugin you purchase a license for. There are Frequently asked questions that we've documented to get you the answers without needing to wait on someone to respond.

Also, be sure to check out the getting started guide!

Ah damn. My reading comprehension isn't as good as I thought. Can't belive I missed that.

Thanks CWTN.

Is there a way to get the "light" line to be cast at certain thresholds as quick heals can be? Am finding on periods of heavy damage, the quick line is not able to keep up, and its recast delay is leading to problems. If I could trigger light to be cast for something like anything less than, say 80% hp on the tank, it would alleviate that situation.

Beyond that I am loving the plugin, as always, great job CWTN and Sic.

No and don't plan on making that change for a few reasons. Priority would need to change, and no plans on that.

What level range are you in - assuming level locked or lower lvl? Might want to byos and memorize fewer quick heals

Yeah, locked to lvl 70 spells at the moment so the remedy line is...lacking. Will try to work with BYOS, ty Sic!

Just purchased MQ2Cleric and have read through all the getting started stuff (and watched the vids) and didn't see what I was looking for. Just a couple questions:

1. I see the command to startup MQ2Cleric (/plugin mq2cleric load), can it be put into the char .cfg file like a Lua or in the .ini file like Muleassist? So it starts up when the char is loaded?

2. I also saw the buff command (/plugin mq2cwtnbuffs load) for the other characters in the group. Does this need to be run upon every login? Just want to know so I can setup a social for it if that is the case.

3. What char do you put in front of a line, in an .ini file to keep it from running that lines command? I wanted to save some of the Muleassist lines in the char .ini.

Thanks for any assistance you can give.

1. Plugins are automatically loaded based on the value in your MacroQuest.ini. if you do a /plugin mq2cleric it says "please load this now and next time". There is no .cfg stuff to do.

2. Same.

3. ";" - the semicolon

Thanks Sic, really appreciate your fast reply. So I looked in the MacroQuest.ini file and was a little surprised with all the stuff in it. Probably the only ini file I haven't edited yet lol. I saw where both previously mentioned commands were inserted at the bottom of the Plugins section, duh. And for #3? Is that a space? That's it? Sheesh I do learn something everyday.

Thanks a bunch

no it isn't a space. it is the semicolon that i put in quotes and then said "the semicolon" afterwards

me said:

i *believe* that you can use a # as well

Thanks again. Ahhhh. It even changes the color of the whole line in Notepad++. Always wondered what the green lines meant lol.
