those are the only exceptions to byos casting buffs - BYOS is intended that you handle your spell gems and your buffing (it doesn't do buffing because of the spell gem swapping etc.

You can add your entire low level group to the xtarget of your high level cleric or shaman and receive heals and hots on your group however, you will have to periodically click on BYOS and buff your low level toons, or just leave BYOS on if you did not remove the heals/hots for buffing.

I've noticed that my cleric doesn't seem to want to cure curses. Seems to cure poison / diseases with no issues. I have the remove curse (not greater curse). My end, bug, or intentional?

what cure are you expecting to use (remove curse?), and what debuff are you expecting it to cure

curse functions exactly the same as the others.

we check for counters, and if you have counters you can cure, we cure them

Yup expecting her to remove curses from me / group. Currently she mems Word of Restoration (not sure if its related) and doesn't cure curses. If I pause change the spell out and unpause I caught her curing then. Also as of here recently even though I have use Yaulp she doesn't use it either. Currently on a raid so I'll check on this next fight to make sure I'm not miss remembering things.

@BrianGragg think i figured it out - WordCure doesn't get curse portion until word of replenishment

is your toon just casting wordcure while you have the curse?
 
nope. its not a word cure issue (tho it does try and cast it to cure, but i'll fix that)

can you please tell me what spell you are expecting it to cure and it is not?

all of the cure functionality is the same - poison checks for poison counters in the characters mq2cwtnbuff file, curse checks for curse counters in the characters mq2cwtnbuff file etc.

if you're in byos (or have usecures off) and expecting it to memorize a cure to cure - its not going to do that because we're in byos so we won't memorize a spell.

This will help me either a: determine that it is, in fact, a spell that cure curse can cure, or b: allow me an opportunity to see if can replicate and see if there is an issue, and determine a resolution

Here is me testing with what would be live at lvl 60 (Eradicate Curse), and with if only remove curse existed. You can see it sees a curse with counters in mq2cwtnbuffs file for the toon that gets the debuff, then it memorized eradicate/remove curse, casts upon them and then rememorizes the spell they had before.

(Replicating to show it working as expected took a huge chunk of time :( )

I didn't mean to strike the last line. I was on a raid and was going to post on the next curse I got. Just turns out that no other mobs we fought had a curse. I'll provide more feedback when I get it. May be a week or so with the pending patch.

-- if you have a hot/grouphot memorized, and have keephotup on, and you have mobs on xtarget, you're going to try and keep hot/grouphot up at all times.

Love the KeepHoTUP option, but I think I found a bug with it for the 60 area. It's spamming Celestial Elixir(ST) and Ethereal Elixir(GroupHoT) and just constantly overriding them in a loop.

I'd turn it off if you don't want it. that's definitely annoying :(

unfortunately, as mentioned in a few places, there are spells that mq2 reports back as "they stack and don't overwrite" so you can get stuck in a buffing loop

but lemme see what i can do

yeah it appears at all ranks they overwrite each other in that way - I already had some checks to combat that, so i'll just expand that

yes and it has curse counters, so we should curse cure it. i would double check it is not, because of all the reasons i previously mentioned

death shackles has no counters.

well we kind of already went over this.

its not going to memorize a spell when you are in combat, nor byos. if you already have it memorized and have a spell that can be cured by it it will cast it.

it will not stop what its doing to memorize a spell in combat to cure

so just to summarize:
you will cast cure on things with cure counters with spells you have memorized that can cure those counters.
you will mem a cure if you are not in byos, only during "downtime", no mobs on xtarget, not invis unless you have a camp set
if you are byos, or have mobs on xtarget, you are not going to memorize another spell to cast it.

if you need something special like a curse cure memorized, you should byos and memorize it where you feel it is appropriate
 
Sorry to have bothered you. I appreciate the clarification. I usually am plowing through mobs and I’ve just seen the cleric mem cures and “assumed” it was doing it during combat but it must of been between pulls.

Just wanted to say thank you for these awesome plugins. I've purchased 4 of them so far and they are working out great.

I wanted to make two suggestions that may be useful for general consumption.

1) Useful for all plugins | Add a pause plugin button/checkbox to the main UI view. (Nice to have)

2) Useful for Cleric/Shaman plugins | Add a feature to "Focus On" or "Treat as Main Assist" with the options "Main Assist" or "Main Tank". The intent would be if you drive your party from a non-tank class, your driver gets all the Lingering Sloth/Retort/Growth type buffs where they would be more beneficial to be applied to the Main Tank.

uhh if you pause it says in huge letters across it *paused*.. can pause by clicking in the UI window for it.

2. We use MA for everything, so whomever is marked as ma in your group window is going to be who gets all that stuff. that's just some "this is how people have always done it" that we continued. We have no plans on changing that.
 
Hello friends, just getting started using these plugins for my cleric, shaman, monk, and warrior, but was having a issue with the Cleric. On the emulator that I am playing we have a buffbot that a lot of people use. When using this cleric plugin my cleric will just keep spamming Valor spell on herself unless I click the higher one off. I have played around with it a bit and found that I can click off the higher buff, and I can also use the BYOS options. However would be nice when out and about to have the cleric buff when the higher ones wear off. Is there something obvious I am missing or do I need to continue to do what I currently am to remedy this? Thanks for any help.

I have the exact same issue it spammed center on a char that had high level druid buff it would of run out of mana if i hadnt noticed it

Q. Cleric is chain casting something?
A. There are a few lower lvl / mid level buffs that eq/mq2 reports stack that do not. You either have this situation, or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there. You can block anything you don't want cast.

Specifically dealing with EMU. The last time I tried to use my plugins on EMU I found the cause of the plugins crashing to be directly caused by buff stack checking function. In order to allow the plugins to be used at all it was nessesary to REMOVE buff stack checking entirely from EMU.
To this end, you MUST use in-game blocking mechanics to blocks spells that are being chain cast at ALL LEVELS. While this isn't the ideal "fix" for the issue, EMU is also not a priority focus point for the plugins. Which is why they are free on EMU.
 
Pardon me if this has been explained somewhere, I haven't been able to locate it.

How does rez priority/checks work? Like how does it decide when to rez? and is there any way to adjust it? I ask this because back when I was using KA, if the MA/MT went down, it would drop everything and straight up spam rez. Making SURE that the tank got back up. MQ2cleric seems much more lax about its rezzing sometimes seeming to just ignore the MT dropping in favor of healing others. It's not a huge deal but just one little thing I've found myself wishing for the ability to adjust.

it checks the absolute emergency usage of epic, Divine Arb and Burst of life, burn Alt Abilities - then it checks for rezzes before checking on anything else, including any and all regular heals.

there isn't anything to adjust - because it is something that is checked more frequently than you could count out loud.

I've yet to hear anyone complain it rezzes too slow.

I would double-check you are getting content to drag toons close enough to rez them - if they're greater than 10 away from us, we're going to continue to try and drag them and not rez them until they're closer than 10

do you have any more circumstantial stuff that you can provide that might give some insight?

if we have a group member with 100, we're going to try and rez the shit out of it

It SHOULD be consenting group/guild/raid per my options, but I'll pay close attention next time and see if maybe that was the issue. I just came back after a break of a couple months so maybe I'm missing something there. Plus it's not something that is real easy to test lol (if it's something that can kill my tank, it chews through the rest of the group pretty fast so I'm usually trying to save things ASAP), was just something that I noticed previously and figured I'd ask. Thanks

make sure you're in raidmode if you want raid members rezzed, and xtargethealing on if you want xtarget members rezzed.
 
One problem I noticed for ressing is:
In raid, no raidmode, extended target with tanks.
Tank dies 200+ feet away, cleric keeps targeting the corpse trying to drag/ress it, which breaks its healing cycle to group/exttar that needs it. Corpse is obviously too far to be ressed, but keeps being targeted. My solution is to hit my "/hidecorpse all" hotkey to get the cleric back to normal function.
Recommendation: Ignore corpses that are too far from drag range (50 feet?)

Second problem, as mentioned above:
Corpse is not drag-able / no consent / etc, and is 11 feet away. The problem is auto-consent is not on by default.
Resser (Cleric/Shaman) will not ress it, which means that the group grinds to a halt despite the fact the corpse is totally within ress range.
Recommendation: better logic, try to /corpse it and if that doesn't work then ress it anyways, although that could be problematic in the case of mobs/auras/cliff/etc. Maybe a toggle option is good here?
