Players have done the analysis of healing done per unit cast time and hots consistently come out lower than the other spell lines, often times even lower than previous expansion spells. That means there are better spells to put on your spell bar. The devs have also designed cleric hots to be weaker relative to our direct heals and shaman hots.
 
I've raided end content on cleric as well as played one in my groups for years and the only HoT I ever used was celestial regen. If you want to cast something on your tank while waiting for the mob, I'd go with the promised line. It's a good delayed heal after 18 seconds and has the added benefit of absorbing 10k damage on every hit over 15k while the buff is on (if you have the aa maxed for it anyway)

Cleric HoT spells are about as heal efficient as their "light" line that no one uses anymore.

Ok resolved all my issues and have successfully raided with MQ2cleric; it really shines on raids. Regarding my earlier post about taking a 10 second break from healing in the middle of a fight to cast epic res on a fallen group member; in my opinion it is not practical however, yes it will work in low healing demand situations. I have since purchased MQ2Shaman and it is the best thing since sliced bread. I really like the different modes it has, can switch on the fly from being a healer to a dpser, or another option does both.

Hello Sic, I did that on epicrez and yaulp, as well as retort however, have since elected to turn retort back on. Was running with memsplash on also however, elected to use cures instead. The lure to use another heal spell is always appealing to a cleric. (splash line) it reloads every 15 mins though. One of the things this mq2cleric does that few real clerics would ever do is use the seventeenth line of heals and keeps up with when it is refreshed; that's just another heal. Some of my old cleric guildies do not like using the promised line of spells and use the "light" line almost exclusively. Well, they are playing with maxed AA's which may be bailing them out. Personally I forced myself to use the promised renewal line simply because I observed healer mercs doing it. Not sure which pligin I will get next, am leaning toward mq2bard, though I currently run an enchanter in a couple of my groups. I have one group with 4 zerkers, clr, and sk, another with 3 zerkers and a bard.

Had an issue today where clr wouldn't buff after being logged in. Zoning fixed the issue, just an FYI. Not a big issue, took a minute to figure out.

You sure you weren't invis?
Or did u have a bugged xtar window? I believe this is still an mq2/eq issue thinking you have aggro mobs on xtarget when you don't. Reloading your ui, which zoning does, can resolve this.

Things that prevent buffing and/or memming spells:

Invis without camp set
Mq2 reporting we have mobs on xtarget
In byos
Paused
Unloaded
Moving
Casting
Dead
Mq2cwtnbuffs not loaded
Buff won't stack
In safe zone (we don't cast aura in safe zo e)

And in a raid event, the boss is always considered a named, so the plugin is always going to blow its load at the start of the event. I suppose the answer is to uncheck burnalways, burnallnamed, set burncount=69 and then manually issue /burnnow commands.

Wow I could have sworn that's what you were talking about on a youtube video. It will be cool when there is an MQ2Bard then.. Complete with "train a grp" and "train a raid" haha !
 
The plugin window in the game is disappearing sometimes. I can soft log and it will come back up however, is there a way to bring it back up in game?

Greetings guys,

Ok first raid issue encountered.. The Rogues do not want to be resed on raids due to some poison thing? Instead they accept call and won't accept a res and I am summoning them over and spamming res on the corpe over and over.. I had to turn off res altogether to get this to stop doing that and continue healing. This then prevented me from resing anyone else.. How can I stop resing just one person who does not want a res or is this possible?
 
anyone happen to know of a way to make my mq2cleric buff extended target players that are lower level with something like blessing of temperance with boys on? i have been reading through and may have missed it but didnt really see anything mentioning that

if you don't want to use rez, turn off use rez.

there is no option to "not rez xyz, but rez everyone else"

the lowlvl hp buff and aegolism/groupaego will still get used to buff in byos if you have them memorized, but it only checks group members, it isn't set to check for xtarget members, and only if you have it memorized

those are the only exceptions to byos casting buffs - BYOS is intended that you handle your spell gems and your buffing (it doesn't do buffing because of the spell gem swapping etc.

When you get in game you can load it for the first time there with /plugin mq2clr load <enter> You may need to watch Sic's videos on youtube to get more proficient with things like /clr show and minor things regarding ui stuff.

It's because they clicked their poison, which is a crafted consumable item. If they take the rez, it will wipe their buffs and waste the consumable. If you hide corpses, it will stop trying to rex old corpses but will still attempt to rez new ones. Make a social for /hidecorpse all

It was just after logging in for the first time that day. I tried unloading the plugin and reloading it, going in and out of invis, toggled byos on and off (I don't use it), I unloaded and reloaded mq2cwtnbuffs, regrouping and such. Anything I could find a refence for trying that could have been related. Not sure on the xtar bug, but I'm assuming that's not an issue when you first log on? As soon as I dragged him through the zone line he started buffing me up. Haven't seen it since, and only saw it that one time. More posting it here in the off chance anyone else sees the issue, they don't search the forums for a long time like I did before just zoning which is an easy enough fix.

For some reason, my 60 TLP Rizlona clerics cast Celestial and Ethernal Eliirs nonstop on MA until it runs out of mana. This was not the behavior before the update.

it only casts and tries to keep up your HoT spell if you have xtargets.

if you don't actually have xtargets, try and reload your ui - that is an mq2/eq bug

On Rizlona also, I had to switch to BYOS and remove Ethereal Elixir as I was chain pulling and this was draining my cleric's mana.

it only does it if you have mobs on xtarget.

try reloading your ui like mentioned above.

I tried /reload ui and it still drains my cleric pretty fast. I think the issue I'm having is that the Ethereal Elixir spell is a mana hog on TLP and when chain pulling there's a mob on xtarget about every 18 - 30 seconds... or faster for some. I just compensated by using BYOS, so I'm good to go for now. :)

well yes, if you have mobs that you're fighting, and your tank doesn't have the buff, we're going to give it to them

Possible at all, to perhaps make this a toggle, if not no biggy will use BYOS. Yes I play on Rizlona as well, even at max FT, Max MC, KEI, Chords, Conc PoT I can blow entire mana pool in one pull with 5k+ mana.
