Plugin - MQ2BerZerker (2 Viewers) 3.1.52471.11

Is there another way? Set it to mode 0 esc to clear target i was able to run back to camp but once I got there it retargeted the mob and ran right back up and began attacking. Happened with both rog and zerk.
zerk mode 0 makes it manual mode - unless you're running kiss or something like that to tell it what to target and turn on attack - it would not do anything.
 
It had been attacking, the mob quit attacking and started heading home as they do every 60 seconds or so. I hit mode 0, and esc to clear target, character kept following until mob stopped. Then I was able to turn off attack and run back but as soon as I got back to my camp, it immediately ran back to the mob. Persisted until with both characters until they died.

Well - it sounds like something went wrong - because zerk mode 0 won't attack unless something tells it to.


It might be worth when you have them turn /zerk mode 0 and then clear target just have them target you afterwards /bca //target id ${Me.ID} - there is no way that they would retarget the mobs in zerk mode 0, unless something like kiss, or pocketfarm or farmtest etc is running to tell them to do that


Now if you /zerk mode 1 once your zerkers got back to your camp, and your MA (tank) was targetting the mobs - they absolutely would go running, because they're in assist mode
 
MQ2Melee doesn't work well with MQ2BerZerker. I've long considered just making sure it wasn't on and forcing an unload of MQ2Melee while MQ2BerZerker was added and honestly I think that's what I'm going to have to do despite my reservations.

MQ2BerZerker chooses the best combat ability/AA/ability to use during combat and what things to do during downtimes. MQ2Melee attempts to do a generalized list of the same.

If both of the plugins are trying to do this then it's just a race to see who hits what ability first.

Another issue with MQ2Melee is that it forces targets to be maintained, and it forces attack to stay on. Neither of those are desired "features" of MQ2BerZerker and I intentionally didn't enforce maintaining a specific target to allow ease of use by the user.

If you use MQ2Melee on other characters then you should load mq2melee on the berzerker. Then type /melee save

Then go to the characters servername_charactername.ini and add the following downshit

downflag0=1
downshit0=/plugin mq2melee unload

This will cause mq2melee to unload itself on that character and that character only any time it's loaded. In the mean time I'm going to be adding the logic to have the MQ2BerZerker set to automatically unload mq2melee anytime it's found to be running.

No. The past 2 days I've been playing with the modes rather than KA. Yesterday I used them exclusively.
 
I'm pretty sure rogue is unloading it. At char select it says melee has been unloaded.

Then when my main logs in, I load it, and /melee on. I had assumed since I was issuing the command from my main, including /melee on, it was only loading on that character. I also assumed since neither release - ini file has any entries for melee (not even [mq2melee] ) that it wasn't functioning there.

I'm confused now. Issuing the load command is doing so globally, but unload is only locally?

Is it possible to run melee on only 1 character and have the rest be free of it? Short of having that character on it's own machine and thus running a seperate mq2. I can live without it, but it's really convient to have basic melee handled by it so I am free to tab to other screens.
 
Mq2rogue is currently removing it at the wrong time and without the correct conditions being met. That's my fault and the change to do it at the appropriate time has been adjusted on mq2rogue so that it only does it on the rogue. The unload is using the "noauto" parameter. So it doesn't save that it has been turned off.

Mq2melee doesn't automatically save to the initial file. You have to /melee save
Until then it's not going to have an ini entry.

Honestly I'd have to be able to test the situation you're talking about and I can't build for test at the moment until a crash is corrected.
 
You can call them to swap targets with a /bca //target ${Me.Target} hotkey, thats what i did with my zerkers to swap targets in fight fire.


Utilizing the zerk modes is going to be important in doing missions and zones that aren't stationary camp.

Resetting camp location anytime you zone, including evacs.
Now handling being summoned if not in combat, to reset camp location to the new location of your character.
Removed code that would never be reached in SetGameState
Now forcing MQ2Melee to stay unloaded.
Added a message to let the user know why MQ2Melee is being force unloaded.
I've added a toggle for using War Cry of the Braxi as it is an AoE ability. Users are aggroing mobs that are not aggressive due to this ability and have requested it be added to "UseAoE" but I've given it it's own toggle because it's not a damaging ability. The idea of UseAoE was meant to be for things that wake mezzed mobs, this will not wake a mezzed mob, but it is still an AoE ability and can cause aggro. HOWEVER - Users should understand that this is a major part of your DPS and should only be turned off in area's such as GMM where you have opposing factions right on top of each other and have a tendency to aggro things from the ones that like you.
Corrected a typo in the UseBraxi showsettings output where I had UseUseBraxi instead of UseBraxi

These changes will be seen on the next update of MQ2.
 
If you are running kissassist with mqzerker then you absolutely need to do the following in the kissassist_char.ini (else it just sits there spamming some error)

This is true. MQ2Melee should not be run with MQ2BerZerker, too many people have issues that stim from trying to use two plugins that handle using abilities. Should only use one or the other. The most recent update is driving that home because people keep messaging me to tell me that something in MQ2BerZerker isn't working right, or their DPS is bad etc, only to find out they are using mq2melee.

there is no reason for a switchtarget command - you could make an alias if you wanted, but you can literally just /bca //target id ${Target.ID} from your tank and it will target the new mob

Since I use a mix of mq2berzerker for my zerkers, and kiss for my non-zerk/rogues I use this

Mangler's Covenant - Does the plugin automatically know when to use that skill? Heck, *I* don't know when to use it. I have 2 zerkers, 1 at 110 and 1 at 107.

Also, according to the FAQ there is no option to use the deaggro tools. Is that still true? Pet tanking still cause warrior is still not geared/aa'd enough to take over.
 
Mangler's Covenant is the upgraded Alliance and is use when UseAlliance is on, and there are 3 berzerkers in the group, and you don't have the alliance buff, or when ForceAlliance is on, and you don't have the alliance buff.

This does not use the deaggro tools with the exception of Silent Strikes, which is an AA that is used during the Primary Burn.
 
No sweat, the war should be up to tanking in a month or so, then I'll go with the full on DPS plugin. Doing so now would just result in an awful lot of rezzing :).

Sorry for the continuing dumb question, but I was AWOL during whichever expansion that introduced alliances. Does alliance/covenant work if you have 2 bers, or do you need 3?

supposedly you can use it with 2 while in burn mode because it can trigger off of frenzy and such which have additional chances to proc - outside of burns I don't think you'd be able to get enough hits off in time (this was according to one of the top WW zerkers from the zerker forums - I haven't had a chance to test it myself)
 
Oh okay. I'm slowing starting to get it now. I take it then it's really for the benefit of raid zerks on raid mobs with stupidly huge hp numbers rather than the 6-8m hp trash mobs that I'm spending my time killing. I read the spell info on alla's and it still didn't make any sense to me. I'll stop thread crapping now, thanks fellas :)

you pretty much have it exactly - the alliance spells are intended to be used with 3+ of your same class in a rotation for raid mobs or mobs with huge health.
Some people do roll 3 zerkers in a group, so it could/would be useful for them too
most non-named mobs wouldn't live long enough for it to be worth it likely

and you're not thread crapping - many people have fundamental questions about zerkers because they've never used them until MQ2Berzerker came along --- I had very little experience before it came along lol

Ive had a zerker in my main group since HoT and the dicho line since TBM (when it was introduced) and this is the first time I’ve seen what exactly triggers dicho/diss on the zerker ... so ... like @ChatWithThisName said ... lol don’t worry about it!

Dicho/dissident is the progression disc. I believe you meant alliance and covenant :)

yeah I and some others suggested that since mq2melee now unloads :( since mq2melee can be a jerk
 
im runnin manual mode with a blank Kissassist which i know is overkill so i guess i could add those into a KA and that be the only thing in the burn section lol
 
what is the addclicky syntax for axe of the mangler to keep like 400 summoned?
 
I know thats nothing new but I bought this plugin yesterday and had a blast!

I use MQ2Rogue and made a heroic zerker to check MQ2Berzerker out.

My zerker (85) does nearly double the dps my rogue (105) does. Thinking about adding another zerker and kicking my rogue 😂

The following is a copy and paste from the plugin's overview page. This plugin features a "Manual" mode, which allows you to manually run around on your character, when you are not invis/moving/casting it will do your downtime abilities such as cast your aura, summon new axes required for DPS discs, and any downtime clickies. When you target a mob and turn on attack it will do the DPS routine for you so that your mouse/keyboard doesn't have a stroke.

This plugin features an "Assist" mode, which allows for a camp style automation like KA's /camphere logic. When you "/zerk mode Assist" it will create a camp at your current location and automatically assist the group main assist. You MUST have a group main assist designated for this mode to do anything. This mode will automatically do downtime things when not in combat, do DPS things when in combat, and it will automatically sit when you are out of combat, at the camp, and have no mobs on XTarget.

This plugin features a "Chase" mode, which allows the zerker to automatically chase the group main assist. You MUST have a group main assist designated for this mode to do anything. It will do everything the "Assist" mode does, except sit down or return to a camp.

This plugin features a "Vorpal" mode, which allows the zerker to automatically assist the group Main Assist, but doesn't handle any camp logic or follow logic. This mode was requested by VorpalChicken, and thus has his name, because I have no idea what else to call it.

Your kissassist should have the melee section disabled. That command is for mq2melee and that plugin will be unloaded by mq2beserker.
they are empty outside of the percentage to assist at and rez

it all worked before and when i had to update now its doing this, i changed nothing from before

edit - they also are not attacking at all, they just sit there

Why are you running KA on the zerker, the ini looks empty? You would change meleeon to 0, and ensure the correct plugin mode was selected (assist mode, presumably).

Also, make sure the plugins are present and loaded. Normally you have to re download mq2beserker after updating VV.

I play on test so these updates dont work for me.

I have always used the empty kiss to handle the assist because i dont have the mesh files...
