I'm assuming /afollow is from the MQ2Advpath plugin?

Does this use the Mesh from MQ2Nav to avoid objects, or is there a Nav follow command?

advpath doesn't use the mq2nav meshes.

I switch between follow-me and come to me, depending on what i'm doing and where i'm at

to use mq2nav in a fashion like follow me, i just use the come to me button in mq2targetinfo which does a /bcaa /nav id ${Me.ID}
as long as i have a far enough headstart, they will (with default settings) dynamically update on their way to get to me - so if i keep moving or go a different direction, they'll continue to nav to me until they catch up.

I do the same. I lead with the bard on long runs since nobody will catch up to him.
