Yeah KA can be used to hit raid targets, it's not the aim of the macro but once you have out of group buffing running and a couple of other tweaks it can be done. You will run into the same issues trying to manage a raid on EMU as you do on Live, there have been a couple of threads talking about boxing raids on Live I'll see if I can pull them up, the main challenge is getting your offtanks to do what you want them to do and stopping or switching dps as needed. I have also found mana management on healers to be hard to keep under control, especially fights like in NToV where everyone is getting AE'd and some encounters have mana drain AE's that really need positioning between AE waves, which is doable with /nav but is just another thing to try and manage.
One cool thing to look at if you're running your own server is the BOT feature, you can basically load up PC characters that are a bit like mercs, a bit like pets. You don't have total control on them, it's just attack, follow etc but they are handy to use when raiding.I box 6 characters usually now when raiding, 3 tanks, 2 monks and bard pullers and the rest of the 72 man raid force is made of these bots.
There's a couple of drawbacks with them, they are linked to one of your characters, so if they die, the bots poof. Also if the bots die in the raid/battle they can't be rezzed so on long fights where battle rezzing would have a big impact you lose out on this. Also you can't summon a bot once you're engaged. I have all my bots on my bard and a mq2react for him to go invulnerable if his health hits 30% just to keep the bots up.
I have got a bit lazy lately and have a load of hotkeys on my main tank for gm commands, like for example I have a bar that is full of #castspell commands for tash malo slow cripple, so I will pull with bow and have the mob fully debuffed by the time it reaches me. I have hotkeys to just quickly mgb buff the whole raid with shm/clr/enc buffs, useful after a wipe to just quickly get going again, I also will just #castspell defensive disc on my main tank rather than trying to rotate the tank on the mob. So yeah I am cheating cheating lol but it's all just for a bit of fun anyway.
You could spend hours perfecting your strategy for a particular raid, and then none of that is useful for the next encounter. My aim at the minute is just to play through a lot of the content I never saw and to be honest I love the game, but a lot of it on the raiding end is especially repetitive and boring, you'll get a kick out of doing it once but I doubt you'll be going back every night on your EMU server to clear all the way through Vex Thal to hit Aten Ha Ra. Especially when you're moving quickly from expansion to expansion, the top end raid loot is almost all worthless when you move onto the next expansion, the power curve is crazy in the early game.
