Question - moving interrupting healing

i am driving a melee. moving in combat with a dru following me. i move in combat and the dru does too, interrupting the heals.
can i tell a healer to stop following temporarily to cast a heal?

How is the druid following you? It almost sounds to me like you are not using the "chase" feature. If you aren't, refer to:
