In the EQ Underground guide, using a linkbot was detailed. However, the linkbot tunare.minimyrist seems to be down most of the time. Perhaps he's moved on to WoW or EQ2 like every other nerd. At any rate, new linkbots have popped up.
As a refresher, linkbots are "bots" or "scripts" people run to give you item links in-game.
The current linkbots as of Dec 28th are:
fenninro.ximena
tunare.tyking
bertox.benudar
To access one of these linkbots, send them a cross-server tell using ";" rather than "/" before the word "tell" like this:
;tell bertox.benudar
The first command to any linkbot should be "!help" or "help" to get a list of commands. Example:
;tell tunare.tyking !help
If the commands are not detailed in the !help tell, try !commands. example:
;tell fenninro.ximena !commands
Each linkbot has special commands that the others don't. For example, minimyrist had some fun things like !insult (insults a player you specify), while benudar has some neat things like !lucy (searches the lucy database for a spell or item you specify)
However, all linkbots have the command "!link", which if you want to find the stats on the new bard tier 1 oow armor, !link would be used as follows:
!link traveler
Which will show all of the items that have the word "traveler" in the name, including the new tier 1 bard armor.
