Might As Well Before Fabled Gone

Took roughly around 3 hours to kill Fabled King, Used 2 rangers to bow him down. Was a PITA but grats me BP.
 
Wow Grats! Heh, you always hear people try these things but it really gets me when i actually hear people succeed. It just seems so good to be able to exploit the game so bad.. in a good way lol.. (Btw this will work on anything that wont summon correct? Thats what i got from my understanding)
 
I may try one more time, really want the BP from the King and the Shield from the Queen.
 
Someone please tell me which macro ou using for these I understand the position thing but not sure which one does it. I am on Druzzil Ro so if anyone want to help me with these since I am new please feel free.
 
Not using a macro, just the MQ2Warp plugin to get to the loc, and just casting manually. Well, that is what I am doing, haha.
 
Just got busted doin it to king. I had a necro there with my bard to deal extra dps below 48%. For some reason, with a necro I wasn't able to use lich while outside of the map. Wouldn't take hold, dunno why cause I had no other buffs.

Anyways, I was using sit on the necro between dot casts and after sitting/standing a few times it got stuck with me sitting and wouldn't let me stand so I let the dot's wear off, fd'd, warped to safe spot, took off lich, and warped back and began dot'ing again then sat down.

I put on a movie and when I came back both my chars had been summoned and killed.

So I summoned corpses, got resses, and went back at it. Got the king down to about 95% and bam, both chars got summoned and killed.

As soon as the chars had zoned to their bind, I had a tell in both windows from the GM saying "we need to talk" and I just turned off eq.

Gonna get banned I'm sure...I'll let you guys know what I hear from em.
 
ok if you're going afk why didnt u run a GM check.. and first off why the hell would you go afk with something like this lol.. That sucks bad hope you only get suspended.
 
I wasn't really afk. I just went to put in a movie that I can watch from the computer. I have to be at the computer to use the necro so I wasn't gonna leave it.

Anyways, GM's can go around undetected by mq. I do /w, /w GM, /w npc GM, and look at the map...but none of that caught them.

What's sad is...I was soloing uqua before last patch.

I got back on to try and talk the GM into not banning me cause that's worked for me before. He said they had several shifts of GM's watch me solo uqua and he congratulated me on the accomplishment but he said he was suspending my account and suggesting it be reviewed for banning. We'll see how it turns out.

For you people who can do it, uqua is an instanced zone and probably won't get busted doin it, shrug.
 
Sadly i don't see what their big gripe about mq2 is, i mean if you're basically not even grouping with others except characters you box, what does it really matter?
 
I have been using this method alot...well as said in first post about this only working on mobs that are luclin or earlier is false..i am not sure to what extent it is but lastnight i went to BoT just to try it out. zoned in no one there picked a named warped to it warped back to my safe spot then warped back to target except using a 10000 Z. I was able to cast on the mob, now i didnt stay around to kill it as i was buisy on another account killing Lord seru but this did work and i would presume it would work in other PoP zones but not sure. As i try more and more mobs in diff zones i will keep everyone updated =)


P.S. Lord seru was downed by my bard solo took about 4 hours but with mqtwist it was nothing just sat their making sure all was well and no one in zone or GM's on
 
Ya i've found some other mobs that it works on, the main thing is if mos require LOS this doesn't work, if mobs require you to be in melee range usually won't work, and if mobs are under water most the time it doesn't work.

anyone else had a run-in with a gm doing this? I'm thinking maybe they were just watching overking on this server since almost all the other fabled mobs were dead. If/when I get my accounts back I'm gonna move to another server.
 
Knock on wood no but i dont really EVER see gm's on at all so maybe i am on a good server for this stuff hehe. I also try to wait till as late as i can to do it so it would be less likely someone would come to where i am. When i tried Overking i had LOS troubles so i am just thinking that there is some variable that doesnt let this work in some instances. Sid said he warped under King and myslf havent been able to warp under him i just end up warping to king. I myself will be staying away from fabled and any other sought after mob for a while hehe i go to zones where almost no one goes like seru and chardok B...oh yea i also went to splitpaw even though it was revamped it still works like a charm there took down 2 named there within 20min.

Btw, others have been suspended/banned using this on overking. I'd highly advise not using it on any popular mob.

Not sure if anyone can verify this but I suspect that GM's can hide from the /who command. I have not seen a GM in over a week now with /who all GM /who all guide, and I'm on quite frequently.

Prior to upgrade I'd keep a watch of where they were at all times. Has anyone seen a GM since upgrade?
 
They have ALWAYS been able to hide from anybody in game, even from MQ2
 
My guess would be to adjust ure x or y to a farther distance...........Have not tried this yet so just guessing =) :cool:
 
Just wondering if this is still successful strat. Also, would this be easy to use against regular trakanon (undead bard spawned) at lvl 62? Gonna finally get my bard his epic.
 
this will not work on trak, you need to be close to him to land spells, hes a belly caster mob. in fact this wont work on any mob where you have to be in melee range to cast spells on them.
