My Height Filter Low/High field appears blank with the maps in this new compile and it wont let me type anything into the field either. It causes issues with some labels displaying most notably when I zone into Shard' Landing the portals don't say which portals they are since the labels for them were made above ground level.

Not an omg game breaking issue but it is definitely a bit tedious.

So this is a limitation of the EQ client; it happens to everyone. There is a limit to the amount of text that the client can display, so if you turn off the mobs (or filter them more aggressively) the text in the client that you are missing will come back.

What I've been getting is the mobs have no name on the map. No matter if I do /mac map This normally only happens shards landing and other locations similar to that.

I would recommend using ShowEQ. It's solid as fuck, and dedicating a monitor to it makes the world a superior place.

Even tho it doesn't look like you are typing anything in the high/low filter settings, you actually are. I just start out by turning on hight filter, clicking low, and backspace to clear it, then type something like 5.
Then I click on High and do the same, and it should clear up the blank input sections.
After I get that set, I then go back to the filters and set them to 50's or 100's (or whatever you feel you need, and they should work fine, but will only show labels that are on planes that fall within the specified high/low settings you have defined in relation to you.

All you need to do is '/mapfilter npc hide' and your problem is solved.

If you want to see the npcs then just zoom the map in so there isn't so much shit being shown on the map ;)

There is 1 2 and 3 in the maps... everyone has to use the 2 though... Simply be different and change your normal maps to 3... problem solved.

Then you can activate both 2 and 3 for normal maps and mq or if there's stuff that's trying to write in the same spot on the map, you can uncheck 2 or 3 and it gets rid of 1 of the layers that are blocking the view.
