Question - Mana Management Post Bard Dicho Nerf

How big of a difference would adding an enchanter to my group to stack clarity with bard mana regen spell/aura?

I now have (the horror) downtime here and there when grinding out AA/XP.

I have a shm and I made potions, I also don't have TBM so I never experienced near unlimited mana. What did you do before extremely broken spells?
 
I had not played with any seriousness until the extremely broken spell was active so this is my first time without it for all intents and purposes.
 
Adding a enchanter to a group for mana regen is pretty much useless.
Going by the stats on combat regen hps/mana/end.
A chanter only adds 50-60 mana a tick.

True but that is like 2 spells and when it comes to having to regen it still not much help at 50/tick with toons walking around at 90 k mana.

If you truly want hardcore mana regen you need a bard and a beastlord in your group.

max aas last 60 secs or 10 ticks
regens per tick
hps 4338
mana 975
end 850
 
Just kinda worked out that some of my groups of 1-2 BSTs in them, those groups are fine.

Other groups this is my Bard's ini, and it works better than nothing.
I also just had to make sure I invested in finishing up gearing my lazy ass casters.
 
It wasn't nerfed it was fucking nuked. Completely useless now at end cost and refresh timer.

You see Maskoi ... I rely on smart people like you to tell me these things. I figured 1k mana was still worth throwing in once in a while as opposed to say plague of the piper... no sarcasm here FYI. (which is rare for me .. ok shit sarcasm now, but not before)
 
1k every minute if you have it set correctly will chew your bards endurance and the bard will have to med. It so stupid how useless they made it.
Spells cost more than 1k mana to cast and toons running around with 80 to 120 k mana makes it pretty useless now.

QFT. My poor Beastie is blowing Paragon on himself every time it's up. I was hoping he could be a battery for someone else instead of himself haha! I've still got a bit of leveling/AA'ing to do on him so I'm hoping it gets better.
 
Can you do a screenshot with sk + Chanter pls? and see what compare looks like there? If it's some type of stacking issues, wonder which class gets priority? first to cast?

Couple post's on EQ Forums from Dev Dzarn. Looks there are some changes coming in the next update. I don't have any characters high enough to benefit from this so not sure if they are helpful or not.

To clarify some of the math going on here:

When calculating the delay associated to SPA 433:
Weapon skills: Weapon * Haste
Skill attacks: Hasted delay of the button
SPA 193: 30 second delay is assumed

Field 132: Base Effects Focus Cap:
An int that is calculated to be a 0.01 precision float.
Spells 49149-49160 have a value of 100; meaning, take the base value of each SPA and double it.

Rank 6 - Empowerment:
~11,424 heal
~2,278 mana
~804 endurance
12 x [276 * (delay*haste)] melee damage (Incorrect)

Rank 6 - Potential:
1-3 x 12118 spell damage (Incorrect)

Realistic endurance cost since the caster benefits from the effect: 7746 - 804: 6942.

Edit:
The original assessment of the damage of this spell is invalid because SPAs 286 (spell damage) and 433 (melee damage) are not impacted by the bard song multiplier.

And then from yesterday.

The values for SPAs 286 (spell damage) and 433 (melee damage) in my initial post are incorrect.
My thanks to a number of studious parsers in this thread for pointing that out.

After discussing these changes with Aristo the following should happen in the next full patch:

Dichotomic Psalm
The endurance cost will be reduced
Dichotomic Psalm of Potential
The spell damage focus will be increased slightly
Dichotomic Psalm of Empowerment
The melee damage effect will be increased substantially
The mana restored will be increased and the endurance restored will be reduced so that the line better mirrors the ratios offered by the Crescendo line
 
So, after they cut off its balls, they now are trying to sew them back on...I hope they at least packed 'em in ice, or they won't be viable.
 
bst is huge. If your bst is running oom use his AA canni and bp click both should be mana regen. The dots are useless if you kill stuff fast. They have a 30k nuke but it doesnt focus so your 8k nukes do more dps unless you count the dot damage and thats only if you get 2 ticks of it.

Ah I didn't realize the nuke portion doesn't focus, good to know. I just have mine casting the dots on GoM procs. I made some minor adjustments and he's not having to focus paragon himself nearly as often. Surprisingly I'm still grinding about 290mobs/hour nonstop with this nerf... so it didn't hurt as much as I expected lol.
