Question - Mage Question

I looked all over to see if I could find it anywhere. Couldnt really find anything that was specific so thought Id ask around.

I was in grounds the other day just soloing some named to gear up my baby bard. There was a set of 3 toons afk Killing there. They had a lvl 93 mage fire pet pulling and then everyone was assisting the pet, without the mage budging a mussel.

My question is, does anyone know a setting for this? I generally have my bard pulling for me but this would be pretty cool to try out, no one have to move out of camp and its just the mage pet pulling.

Were the pet running out to the mobs and attacking them or were the fire pet standing still and nuking the mobs from where it was set to guard?

Fire pet was just standing in place nuking.

How effective are mages dps wise in group gear ?

Likely its just a simple macro, for targeting mobs in range, and setting the fire pet to only nuke and no melee.
Would only take a few lines of code to keep targetting mobs.

Id Mages are one of the best DPS. . .not the best but up there.

was just wondering was going to start a caster dps group with SK and clr as tank/healer and bard as support. Question is do i go 2 wiz/mage or just 3 wizards or just 3 wizard mercs lol.
