Problem - Mage pet not guarding

Im running into an issue where after every pull the mage will swap ( on its own ) from /pet guard to /pet follow . is there a setting to change this either in the ini or say mqmelee?


I like having the pet a bit out in front of the grp . Any help on this ?

Pet only follows when your mage is pulling. Is your mage pulling?

No i have mage set up as PetTank and another account set up as Puller , what i normally do is set the pet & tell it to guard a certain area right in front of me , the puller will bring back a mob , the pet engages and kills mob , then the pet will pop back on follow and walk back to the mage , i would like it to STAY where i tell it to and not just pop back on follow on its own.
