Question - Mage Pet Assist %

So I went through the guide and search again and couldn't find a solution:

Overall, my KissAssist setup is great and I haven't had many issues. However, since I use a tank merc as my primary tank, things can go south quick sometimes. My mage pet is my "backup" tank and fills the role nicely... except when the tank merc dies ASAP. I haven't been able to find a way for my Mage to send the pet in to attack at something like ~99%. It seems the mob always has to be around 92ish or so before he will join the action.

Is there a setting I can tweak to have the pet attack more quickly? The characters are already set to assist at 99 or 100% in battle and they start up fine so I don't know what to do.

in your ini file make sure you have AssistAt in the [Melee] section set to 99 or what ever you want it set to. You could just set up your mage as pettank that way the pet is sent in as soon as the mob is in range your merc tank should still engage the mob once it is in range.

Setting the role=pettank fixed the issue and he's going into combat at 99% now. Thank you so much!

Technically sir .... PetTank role does exist in kissassist 7.6.7 and earlier... it just doesn't work correct at all.. lol

None of the initial critical variable assignments were made within CheckRoles sub to setup the role properly. It functions in the most CRUDE manner .. but far from what it should be doing.

As you know.. our kissassist 8.0 release (scheduled to go live sometime Jan 2015) has the PetTank role fully defined and functional as it was always intended.

But he was just wanting his pet to engage sooner. I knew it would handle that issue.
