Small mage boxing strat.
ok, the main theory that i like to work with is that a full group of mages could kill anything. To prove this I have had up to 3 accounts on everquest at a single time. I created a mage on each account and slowly lvled them up to where each could first summon thier own pet. At this point in time i grouped all of the mages and started leveling the crap out of them. I have had no problem whatsoever in killing dragons or any other named, whether they summoned or not. This is mainly because i don't mind using a lot of time to kill mobs that summon. First of all, you don't want to nuke them, or if you do make sure you don't nuke them very much for you don't want to get summoned after it kills your pet. You see mages actually have a better heal than clerics, in a way. This is because we don't give any thought as to whether our tanks die, we normally will start summoning another pet when ours is about to die. The only major problem with this is that you will need quite a bit of mana regeneration, but thats not too hard anymore because of PoK. now the lvl 65 earth pet has, we assume, approxamately 12k hp because a cleric's complete heal cannot heal it all the way. This is where we get the joke that mages have a better heal than clerics btw. Doing this I have soloed (with 3 mages) most of my way through many of the 1.0 epics that people needed help on. There is almost nothing I believe that could stand in the way of 6 mages in a group walking around with their pets except for mobs that have lots of aoe attacks. Without aoe attacks the mob after killing one pet would still have 5 others on it, so with this reasoning you should be able to kill most any mob out there. Camp anything you want, sell it for money, do anything you can think of with the group
