Yeah I would not recommend it. All DBG needs to do is scan for all the lockout timers that are greater then 5days for plane of hate and they will see who is doing it and just suspend/ban them all.

I'm not sure you could do a full raid with mercs. iirc there tends to a be a maximum limit of characters (with mercs counting). A raid maximum would be 54... I know I've encountered the limit with group instances where the 6th person couldn't zone till we dropped the merc.

Sounds pretty easy to detect as well. (massive lockouts)

been on a raid using mercs, got a zonewide message about too many character in zone... 2 minute warning before a random merc would go poof.

Let the people stupid enough to exploit it be banned. Has nothing to do with MQ2 or RG so if they want to get their guild a guild-wide suspension (and possibly ban) let them. /shrug

The whole point of the strategies area is to post strats and exploits; how people use them is their business. Apparently someone even mentioned on the actual EQ forums this was going on before it even got posted here (supposedly Rathe server?).

Edit: And just from the logistical side of things - you'd have to have almost a full raid of competent people agree to do this type of exploit and chain farm Maestro/Inny. That's gonna be few and far between. Obviously there are a few but I don't see many people doing this remotely soon.

LOL yeah I read that too. Rathe server funny.. Just for fun I logged in an old toon over there and just sat by Plane of Hate area. Open Raids, every guild on that server doing it all day.

That's insane. I've seen 0 guilds do this on Bristle - or at least if they are it's on some crazy off hours and highly top secret shit. Then again if you look at EGL rankings only one raid guild has finished T1 and that guild has only completed 1 of the T2 raids... guess the people on Rathe are super desperate for loot.
