Question - Lua Random Delay

Any idea why the random delay isn't working?

I am trying to stagger my support class so that they don't bum rush the same item but it doesn't seem like the random is working in this instance.

Yes I do

math.randomseed(os.clock())
mq.delay(math.random(100, 5000))

Piggy backing on this so I don't flood the Lua forum.

Brand new to Lua and wondering if there's a more elegant way to iterate through callback parameters. Rather stay away from hard coding for future events.
