Question - Loot Management -- NO DROP World Drops

How do you guys handle world drops that are NO DROP... This question is obviously targeted at not being on Firiona Vie.

I happened to be grinding in the grounds and a named popped while I was sitting there, so I was able to loot something for my BST.
Then I realized... how do you guys who 100% afk farm manage this now days?

The advanced loot window is amazing for that. You can micro which characters loot which types of items as well.

You can also get crafty and pre-add items to your loot filters so if you get to a camp you don't have to wait around all day to get your drops added to the filter.

Best part of all, you literally never have to stop to loot.

I know there is a guide somewhere on here about how to do that, but for the lazy:

1. Go to http://lucy.allakhazam.com/
2. Type the item in search
3. Go to your EQ folder and open the userdata folder
4. Inside that folder, look for a file that says LF_AG_[Charactername]_[Servername].ini
5. Delete everything except the top line and save it as LF_AG_Aaaassgg_[servername].ini (the name can be replaced to anything really)
6. The top line shows the format. Item#^Icon#^Itemname
7. Example: 6639^601^Tranquil Staff
8. To find the item #, simply copy the number at the end of the URL on lucy
9. Example for tranquil staff -> http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=6639
10. For the icon#, right click on the icon shown on lucy (left of the item name) and open the image in a new tab using chrome, or copy the link in other browsers and paste in a new tab.
11. The icon# is right before .png so, for example -> http://everquest.allakhazam.com/pgfx/item_601.png

Next you just need to merge the file with your real character.

1. In game, open your ADVL window using /advl
2. Hit filters
3. Hit merge/replace
4. Click that new character you created
5. Click merge
6. Check to see if the item is in your filters by searching your filters
7. That's all you need to do

You don't need to change any of the options, the advl window will automatically roll every item after a specific amount of time no matter what, so no need to have auto rolling enabled or anything on your group leader for every single item.

I wrote a program that contained a searchable database to easily add items to a custom ini file.

Then I quit EQ.

I modified the ninjadvloot loot macro addon to handle nodrop items with a user selectable option in the ini file.

I use hoosier's ninjadvloot include file to manage my looting. It works like a dream.
