Question - Looking for opinions on a 6-box setup with 2 Rogues

I’m working on building a 6-toon box team and I want to include 2 Rogues as my main DPS. I’m trying to figure out what the best overall group composition would be for leveling, group content, and handling named mobs at higher levels.

Right now I’m thinking about setups like:

  1. SK / Shaman / Bard / Enchanter / Rogue / Rogue

  • SK tank and aggro
  • Shaman slows + melee buffs
  • Bard utility and melee songs
  • Enchanter CC/mana
  • 2 Rogues for backstab DPS

  1. Warrior / Cleric / Bard / Shaman / Rogue / Rogue

  • More raid-style tank setup

  1. SK / Cleric / Bard / Rogue / Rogue / Berserker

  • Maximum melee DPS

My main questions:

  • How well do 2 Rogues perform together in a boxed group?
  • Is Bard + Shaman basically required to make Rogues shine?
  • Would you choose SK over Warrior for a 2-Rogue team?
  • Is Enchanter worth giving up another DPS slot for?
  • Are there any better combinations I’m overlooking?

I’m mainly looking for a group that can level well, handle group content, and take on tougher named encounters.

When i am making a new group and its a melee set i start with a Bard Shammy Tank melee dps x2 then depending on what i am going to do with it ill either do a third melee dps or a cleric.

For Caster groups i start with a bard Dru Sk Enc mag wizzy. can switch out the wizzy for Nec if ya like.

My caster groups are very hard to wipe and caster burns are just silly good

Ok, so you are looking for 2 rouges in group, so melee focused DPS.

Your #1 is ok, but the shaman and enchanter is a duplicate. The shaman is better for melee group. I would replace ench with a ranger for different buffs, and their DPS is not bad either.

I run 2 rouges in group, limits buffs, but works good.

I believe for melee DPS, Sk, Shaman and Bard are base 3, then you add DPS you like to play,

Remember, have fun, and play what you like!

One of the best groups I ever saw was a Paladin and 5 Rogues, But of course it depends on your gear/ where you are killing etc.

If you want more Utility:

SK / Shaman / Bard / Zerk / Rogue / Rogue

Will just smash through anything.

2 Rogues work extremely well.....3 Rogues work even better because you can SOS anywhere, and drop a campfire.
Give your Rogues the Poison Proc Weapons, everyone else can use Poison Pots and you have your alliance going off.
Rogues dont need Shaman and Bard to Shine...but everything helps in its own way.

A Pal and 5 Rogues would probably be more DPS than a Normal Group..But it certainly wouldnt be as much fun in the long term.
It would be a very one dimensional group.

Enc is Great.....I still usually have an Enc over a Bard...But if you want a Melee Group then Stick with Melee CC. Mana isnt such a big deal.
