I just started playing around with MQ2 this week and was running into some issues on the EQEMU (ROF2) version and was wondering if there were major differences in the performance of MQ2 on ROF2 vs the test server on live.
Using plugins like mq2advpath works amazingly on test server. All my boxes follow my main character almost exactly while being stacked on eachother. However, when attempting to use /afollow on a EQEMU server with ROF2 client, my characters often get stuck and they are spread out following along the path I took with the main character. Its very sporatic and random when they stop and how close they stop to my main character.
My main question is, are there many inconsistencies like this in two versions of MQ2? I am trying to decide if I want to play on a EQEMU server I set up or just settle with playing on live test server. I would prefer if I could get things working just as smooth on EQEMU.
I should also note my latency was far better on EQEMU running my own server (all chars at 20ms) so I dont think that was the cause of the /afollow issues.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.
