Question - Locking EQWindow position from moving?

I play on a 5120x1440 monitor so I can't play full screen and have to use Windowed Mode. Which is cool since I use Enable Viewports and have the mGui MQ windows on the sides.

BUT....(there is always a BUT huh) since I use a couple of different EQ folders the windows have moved slightly over time so they don;t overlap correctly. One lil to the right, one to the left, and so on.

I Googled and only thing I could find was about the in game windows, is there a way y'all know or can think of to LOCK the main game window so when I'm a lil drunk I don't F up the window positions?

I went in and manually reset the EQ Client.ini and man, when one doesn't know what he;'s doing it's a PITA.

Thanks folks,

BB~

i have this info

[Defaults]
Maximized=1 -- maixmized windowedmode on or off
WindowedMode=TRUE -- windowedmode on or off
WindowedModeXOffset=-8 -- the top left corner x offset
WindowedModeYOffset=-8 -- the top left corner y offset

[VideoMode]
Height=1080 -- fullscreen resolutin height
Width=1920 -- fullscreen resolution width
WindowedHeight=1027 -- windowedmode resolution height
WindowedWidth=1920 -- windowedmdoe resolution width
Fullscreen=0 -- fullscreen mode on or off, does not change windowedmode or maximized

if that can be of any help

This was my 1st thought. But when we raid I change a few windows for notifications / Event Messages and such that I don't use regularly.

Maybe different .ini for group and raids. Hmmmm
If you really wanted to go down the rabbit hole on this one, you could use symlinking to have a "different" eq install for that second ini.

Seems excessive, but so is half of what we do!
You could also just save a copy of it (or a snippet of it, commented out) and when your misclicking self jacks it up, copy back over.

Thanks man. This is useful info. Especially the descriptions on the right. Helps from having to Google-Fu each item separately. There is SOOOOO much stuff in the .ini I have no clue what it's for.
