Hey Everyone

I've searched, I've looked, I've waited 10 mins to be able to ask in Discord... To no avail. I cannot find a way to reset the MQ window so it shows up again, and it's just gone. I had to take my computer to a different location, and I didn't want to take the screen as well. The result: I've now got a much smaller screen, where all the UI is messed up(not like broken, just all over the place).

But the MQ window is gone from the game, and I cannot figure out how to reset it. I'm guessing its really easy and me being super unlucky. Would you help a guy out and point me in the right direction?

Very respectfully

Oskar

when did you change? as of right now mq2 is not working so no mq2 window will show. As for getting the chatwindow location there should be a chatwindow.ini that will give (X) (Y) loc in it for the window position, deleting that file will set it to a default location.

Changed a few days ago. Thought id post now that I've looked properly. I know MQ2 isn't up atm. If the MQ window is called chatwindow.ini I will delete that and give a shout out if it worked. Thanks for the reply!

I found a file called MQ2ChatWnd - looked inside at it seems like thats the right one, I've deleted it and hopes that does the trick!

I experienced this same issue a few months back on one of my accounts and /mqmin seemed to help.
I think I also ended up deleting the MQ2ChatWnd file and also running the patcher once while the plugin is unchecked.. then logging back out and then selecting the box for MQ2ChatWnd and running the RG Patcher and it did reinstall it.

Hope you can get it working again

Hope this is not against anything but this info I pulled from a sister site regarding the Chatwindow.
Description
MQ2ChatWnd adds an additional window to your UI which displays ALL information generated by MQ2.
Note: Any information displayed or typed in this window will NOT go into your character log. It is invisible to EverQuest (and invisible to /petitions and /reports too).
This plugin is setup by default and very much recommended. You can however use the MQ2Chat plugin to force MQ2 information to the main EQ chat window if you wish to ignore this recommendation.
Commands
  • /style [!]0xN Set the style bit corresponding to 0xN or unset it if ! is supplied. See EQ documentation for further details about WindowStyle.
  • /mqfont # Change the font size, accepts values 0-10.
  • /mqmin Toggle the MQ window minimized/maximized.
  • /mqclear Clears the MQ2 window.
  • /savechattodefault Saves the current MQ2 window position/size as the default for any new toons created.
