Leveling - Level 100-105, how to gear and level help requested!

Currently I run SK/CLR/ENC/MAG/WIZ/ROG. They are mostly 98 (nearly 99), all silver accounts except the SK which is gold. (The rogue I'm levelling up so is only 87 atm, only doing it since I got the mq2rogue license and she's doing pretty well DPS wise considering the 10 level difference). All have up to EOK expansion-wise, none have RoS or TBL.

I've been running Gribble's HA's for grinding after completing level 90&95 dailies. My toons are mostly in Fear Touched, and various bazaar gear. My SK is.. challenged in the HA's. I have to use sword & board for the extra AC (incidentally my server's bazaar is mostly empty for level 100 one handers, the "infused coral" one handers are like 150kpp which is obscene IMO). She mostly has AC30/35 augs wherever a slot is available, she is auto-grant AA'd. The CLR is not auto-grant, approx 5k AA's.

I plan to cycle one moth subs between the toons to get autogrant when I get to 105.

On my server, castaway gear would cost between 300-500k to gear up the SK and tbh not all pieces would be available.

Are there any places for good solid xp other than Gribbles that might help gear up too? The marks of valor won't go away but since they are really old content (now- it's new to me) I suspect what I can buy with them is sub-par to groupable gear in later expansions

Once I hit 105 I guess I'd buy TBL for the SK, if only for the levels, but I'll think about it in 7 levels time...

Since you have access to EOK you also would have access to TBM. You could either farm or buy remnants of tranquility and do the HAs/missions with your crew there to gear them up. The gear covers a wide range and is significantly better then Castaway gear at 105.

If you work on sk gear only, you should focus on getting sk full CotF vendor gear latent ether/what ever other stuff available

Do progression tasks for cotf to mix things up a bit for exp and same again for tds when it becomes possible, gribbles can be exhausting to repeat... Ugh

Once you have sk in cotf gear (shouldnt take long using other accounts to supplement) then start progression/mission for currency in TDS for yourself and again focus on sk, supplement from other groups currency to buy sk stuff and you should get to a point it should be a reasonable bit easier to farm currency to fit out weak spots in group gear and you can attempt to start early TBM currency tasks (some tasks require minimal/nil killing though minimal currency) and again focus on sk. TBM isn't too bad to farm wise but some named in missions can be challenging with poorer gear. Finish up TBM farming, since next step in EoK for gear will require named farming which is generally slower.

If you can make a free to play toon on a new account/place a camp fire in frontier Mountains you might be able to get some rot items early on for sk

What server are you on? Someone might have spare currency, I'm sure I do

EoK gear will rot like whoa, too. I’d pop into frontier mountains periodically to see if anything is rotting. Folks will do AAs in there, even now, because of the insane respawn rate.

I have plenty of accounts... I tend to abandon them at 90ish, so I might have a few I can park there that are in my fellowship.

I'm on Antonius Bayle, which is pretty low pop. I never thought of buying the alt currency though, so will check bazaar for that (both cotf and TBM). I know that was pretty cost effective for HoT gear (last time I played VoA was current content, and then ROF came out and then I gave up again).

Check loyalty vendor to see if you can buy bags of alt currency that would help you. I can't remember the latest currency, but its worth a try.

Great advice all.. my toons are now in mostly Castaway and pretty sure that will do till 105. Gonna explore ROF camping augs then move up expansions as I go along.

Hi Vsab, I had not seen this.. so I'm replying a bit late, but may still help...right now its Hardcore Heritage, and you can get your characters in one of the 100 zones or if you are 105 by now (your posting was in May..and I'm late to the party), you can either hit up Old Seb for Sebsilian gear which is better than EoK 105 gear. Or save up some plat and buy the Glowing Seb gear in the Baz. I just hit 105 myself not that long ago and have been exploring EoK. if you are lucky you may get some chase loot, which would be even better than the Old Seb drops. So either way.. Hope it helps.
