Launchpad unable to connect

Anyone else not able to get past the Launchpad? Other online games are fine, no issues connecting and looks like EQ servers are up, just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue.

bypassing the patcher/launchpad seems to work

How does one do that? Clicking on EQgame.exe gives you a message to please start the launcher.

Got this when I tried "eqgame.exe patchme"

Error in your GUI XML files. Check UIErrors.txt

I just used a command prompt, navigated to the directory (Users\Public\Daybreak Game Company\Installed Games\Everquest) with EQgame.exe and just type in "EQgame.exe patchme" (no quotes) and viola!

or... one can try out winEQ2 at lavishsoft.com....which has the option to bypass the patcher... and works great with MQ2Autologin and making batch log in scripts =)
