Kwi'the Il'zhe is a nasty little caster.
Third, of the four carpet quests, given to you by El'Khazi, Purveyor of Fine Carpets. Ask him for the quest one day after you complete the Scouring the Sands quest.
I'm told that if you use the mouse to hail Kwi'the Il'zhe durring the fight, it interrupts his casting. That's a large chunk of his damage there. You gotta use the mouse to hail him though. He starts talking and gesturing, and too busy yammering on to cast that silly ice comet.
Perhaps there are more mobs you can try this with.
