Question - KissAssist newbie questions

First time trying kissassist and i love it (when it works). It seems to work better for farming than leveling. A couple of questions.

I'm running a caster group: 2 mages, 2 wiz, 1 ench, 1 druid.

I'm getting confused on what roles I should put for what characters.

I want to know how to make it so I run around with my mage pulling mobs with my pet and my box follows me. I would be playing my mage so AFK pulling not needed necessarily. So far, I tried to turn off return to camp (0 doesn't work - i had to put 1) and I put chaseassist to 1. What happens right now is that the characters don't follow me and i have to use /stick 5 always, or they stop to med on the way. Or the other mage/necro pets don't attack and I have to use /bct mage //assist X /bct mage //pet attack. Basically a big mess. I turned off meleeassist and melee on but they still run in and attack despite this, that, or they stop attacking and don't cast anymore (that's when i put role to petassist).

Yes - well I put it on 'one' for all of them. I'm just confused as to what roles to put for each person. Right now im targeting the main mage and putting /mac kissassist on the caster. For the main mage, what role would she be ?

Here is a sample of a mage alt

Is there anyway to stop it from setting up a camp per se?

Most of your toons will have a role of assist.. as in assisting the MA. the puller will be of course puller unless the tank is also the puller which is then pullertank.

Good news i got everything to work by tinkering around with settings, except my chanter won't cast her stun / slow spells. she will mez though

buffs are things you want your character to cast outside of combat that have a duration. summoned items for mages (molten orb, etc), normal buffs, clicky items. dps are things you want your characters to cast in combat--debuffs and combat buffs like yaulp.

You should be careful with your AssistAt settings, in your mage alt above it's set at 0 but you might have issues getting the pet to attack. check the rtfm section for more info on each setting. once you get comfortable using KA i'd suggest learning how to program downshits for your characters using the MQ2Melee plugin, they will add a lot of functionality to your characters as they level.

I actually was curious how to do this as well.

I have my 100 warrior/bard/mage/shm and I wanted to dungeon crawl and not have to stop and setup in each spot.

In the passed I always just set the bard as puller and tank as MT and everyone assisted but I dont play much anymore and just want to do old content/raids that I miss.

Hi, so my mage is still running in sometimes to fight, how do i stop them from running in? Do i disable mq2 melee? Is there something wrong with the following?

[Melee]
AssistAt=0
MeleeOn=0
FaceMobOn=0

in game try the command /meleeon 0 as in the number zero, for the mage while the macro is running

If you use KA and set ChaseAssist to 1 in the ini or use /chaseon in game, all characters will follow the MA. It's a better follow than /follow by far but it's by no means perfect in tricky spots.

ok so what's happening is they run in but they don't attack. The reason why is because i have a eqbc command on top of kiss assist to make my pet classes attack, otherwise they don't do it properly or fast enough.

//Bct mage //assist petname
/bct mage //pet attack

For some reason this makes them run to the mob. I dont know why. Is there a command to make my boxes target the mob that my pet is tanking instead of assist? The weird thing is that sometimes they don't run in sometimes they do. it's very frustrating

They are running to the mob because you are using /stick and they have the mob targeted.
