So since the version switch my grp is a hot mess! I had everything running pretty good and what I thought was a good basic understanding of what im doing here. Now I can not get anything to work properly and its because of the version mismatch. I tried to download the conversion plugin with no luck, as soon as I was on the page I might as well have been looking at and trying to read Chinese . If anyone could explain to me in dumb dumb terms how to fix my ini version mismatch it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Boston

you only need the conversion mac for conditions. if you have none then Kiss 11 should have no problem running the ini file.

Are you wanting to know where to install the new Kiss 11 to? And remove the old version you have of Kissassist?

No I might have mis read but thought it said somewhere you could convert old ini files to the new kiss 11 format by using another .mac . Most of my ini files used conditions so the mac was not working properly. Its all good I figured out a work around I did not really want to do, but I took new ini files and re wrote all 6 ini files from scratch. Took me about 9 hours yesterday was trying to avoid that. I appreciate the responses I am not new to MQ2 but not a coder by any means.

Sometimes your method is the best course of action.

Somewhat similarly I rewrote 6 character INI files just yesterday! (I run 2 machines most of the time and use SyncToy to keep the MQ2 folders in sync. Sometime yesterday I used it wrong and obliterated 2 weeks worth of work fine-tuning my character INI files. So I had to basically do them over from scratch!)

Goodness everyone, if you need to convert, use the KA 10 to 11 macro or /plugin mq2kisstemplate then do /maketemplate
I know MQ2KissTemplate converts the conditions for you and outputs it to a separate file. I believe Ctaylor's does it on the same file.

Above are links to those respective resources. If they aren't doing what they are designed to do, please post a bug on their respective discussion boards so that we are aware and can look into the issue.

I see that CTaylor says KA 10 to 11 doesn't convert commands from old style to new style. I wasn't aware the format changed, so it's worth noting that KissTemplate does not attempt to do this currently. Though I might need to look into that as being added.
