Okie-dokie. Thanks for trying.

For now at least, I've got the previous version of the compile to use. (I always create new folders for each new version.) :)

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.2 (Active Hacks are Back!)

works great no more crashing on zoning

thanks great job

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.2 (Active Hacks are Back!)

huh? it hasn't been updated yet. Just don't use the piggyzone type commands and you'll be fine.
Yet again I need a laptop so I can take Visual Studio to work :(

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.2 (Active Hacks are Back!)

I'm home. Sorry, got off late. I'll be working on it.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.2 (Active Hacks are Back!)

Still have some bugs to fix in Piggy. We have /succor working again, but the /fade bug is getting rather annoying. We should have it fixed by the end of the weekend.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.2 (Active Hacks are Back!)

I don't know about that, but I do know that there's a /zwarp # to move along the z-axis.

Redcent to vladus2000 for the plugin...

First: Thanks to all who work so hard to do what I can't, develope hacks.

Second: Please tell me ya'll are going to maintain the "waypoints" from the original rwarp plugin. That was probable the best feature.

... Please tell me ya'll are going to maintain the "waypoints" from the original rwarp plugin. That was probable the best feature.

They do seem to be working, yes. I resurrected an old copy of my waypoints.ini file from an old folder and after renaming it to MQ2RWarp.ini and cleaning out entries for zones that have been revamped in the last year or two I am using it with the current incarnation of /rwarp in the last working version of the compile.

One thing that does not seem to be working is the following command:

Rich (BB code):
/waypoint list
I seem to remember that was the way to get a list of the waypoints you already had set up in the current zone.

The following command does appear to be working, however:

Rich (BB code):
/waypoint add xxxx

That's a good thing, eh?

:)

By the way, if anybody wants a copy of a working MQ2RWarp.ini file to get them started, here's mine. It's certainly not the best collection out there, but it'll get you started if you don't have any at all.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.2 (Active Hacks are Back!)

Was in bazaar earlier and tried to /zone poknowledge and crashed.

What?

Rwarp was started by Riddler here on redguides. Linky Linky

Piggyzone was started by Cosmic here on redguides. Linky Linky

As for getting packet plugins to start working again that's Siddin, Yammers and to a not exactly small extent, Jmo. People are going to claim stolen code because the methods of going about and doing the correct packet changes are going to look similar, this isn't Python where there are 101 ways to print a string on your monitor. To an extent claiming the linking of .lib is similar to another persons is like claiming #include Spell_Routines.inc is similar to another persons macro, it is silly.

It also has something to do with ego's and the MQ2 community has an incredible amount of this going on. If someone figures something out after another person instead of "Grats, you figured it out" they obviously had to cheat and look at the answer because no one is as smart as you or as good at figuring things out as you, you are a unique little snowflake.

If we had simply stolen code things would be working right now, instead we are here now with the packet problem solved and having to take plugins which haven't been updated since April 07 and updating them as well as trying to overcome any changes which might have occurred since then. Remember when the gate changes occurred back when Cosmic decided to try and find a new way to /zone (in the process creating PiggyZone) and if you tried and used an old zone you simply pretended to be a corpse and sat there? Chances are something similar has occurred between now and April 07 and we are simply catching up.

So don't listen to anyone that claims we are stealing code, it's bullshit plain and simple.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.2 (Active Hacks are Back!)

Ah alrighty. Well best of luck getting it working :).

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.2 (Active Hacks are Back!)

Once everything is working could someone zone into Ashengate and warp to the different locations to complete the Wunderlust quest?

Short answer: Yes.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.2 (Active Hacks are Back!)

Please post any issues below.

Okay, I think I have finally chased down the source of a problem I have been having. It seems to be caused by the current version of the mq2itemdisplay plugin because it goes away when I unload that one and comes back when I load it.

And it's a really weird problem. I'll explain.

You know how when you hover your mouse pointer over one of the buff or effect gems in your buffs window it normally pops up a thing that tells you the name of the buff or effect and tells you how much time it has left? For example, hovering over one of the buffs you would normally get a pop up that says something like "Kaerra's Mark Rk. II (46:24)" which is how you check your buffs to see how long it will be before that buff or effect fades. Well, if I have an earring with a triggerable (right clickie) effect with a recast timer in my left earring slot every buff or effect displays the name of the earring and tells me how long I have until it will be available again to be clicked.

For example, if I am wearing my Symbol of Presto in my left earring slot and it's ready to be clicked it says "Symbol of Presto (Ready)." If I switch my earrings so my Glittering Gem of Focus in in the left earring slot and my Symbol of Presto is in the right, the pop ups all say "Glittering Gem of Focus (Ready)" instead. But if I put one of my older earrings without any right clickie effect into my left earring slot the pop up return to normal.

This happens no matter what UI I am using. Even the Default UI is affected, so I can't blame my UI. It seems to be tied directly to the mq2itemdisplay plugin.

If I wasn't wearing two earrings with right clickie effects that have recast timers I could, of course, just swap them as a work around, but as it happens both of my current earrings have right clickie effects that have recast timers so swapping them just changes the pop up to indicate the time before the other one is ready for use.

/sigh

Is it just me or is anybody else having the same problem?

Also, my wife's kept me rather busy on my days off here, I will have the fixed (hopefully) version posted later tonight.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.2 (Active Hacks are Back!)

awesome, thanks.. I will look back later for the macro. like before bed lol...

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.2 (Active Hacks are Back!)

just an FYI Jeremy, your computer name of MACLYPSE is there for all to see.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.2 (Active Hacks are Back!)

So I name my computer Maclypse. My laptop is named Noxhelious if you'd like to know.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.3 (Active Hacks are Back!)

First post updated with 2.3. Piggy should be fixed.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.3 (Active Hacks are Back!)

Ok. Some Piggy commands still causing a crash. We're working on it.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.3 (Active Hacks are Back!)

I think you are a bit confused. There is a seperate section for requesting macros. JMO's stuff is just the MQ2 and some plugins. Macros are seperate from it.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.3 (Active Hacks are Back!)

I'm not sure if this will matter anymore. I had an unusual problem with the 2.2 compile.

1st: When I started EQ after runing macroquest my windows opened in the smallest resolution possible, I normally run in the greatest resolution possible.

2nd: When trying to /camp instead of returning to the charactor select screen I was returned to the server select screen. I am playing on a very slow connection in IRAQ. It takes way too long to reload, sigh.

3rd: I endured several crashes trying to use a couple of different macros. This might be the slow connection, but it seemed more likely to occur after problem 2.

Again this may all be acedemic now that the 2.3 complie is out, but I wanted to let ya'll know anyway. I went back to using 2.0 compile and have had no problems since.

My hope is that this may help the developers in some way, if not....sorry

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.0 (Active Hacks are Back!)

Hi JMO could u add in a Auto Target command say Target nearest npc or Target (MobName) Please.
Thanks.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.3 (Active Hacks are Back!)

thats usually done via macros.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.3 (Active Hacks are Back!)

Thx for the Reply Siddin. I cant seem to find a AutoTarget macro listed in this Compile. I use mq2twist for my bard songs but i have to babysit the bard to aquire new targets.
Thats why i asked. It would be great to get a Target nearest NPC or Target (NpcName) in the MQ2twist pluggin.
Thx.

Re: Jmo's Compile v2.3 (Active Hacks are Back!)

dunno if this would work right, but i just wrote it :) its fairly basic.
Rich (BB code):
sub main(string npctarget)
:Loop
/if (!${Target.ID}) /target npc ${npctarget}
/goto :Loop
/return
