Another suggestion I would like to make is can you either not include the copy of MQ2LinkDB.txt or update it, the copy you have is from 10/3/2006 and it overwrites newer copies when you unzip the zipfile. I think its the largest item in the zip at 883k compressed. I know its not that hard to update on our end but would be nice to have a more up to date file for the people who don't know how to /link /import the newest file into it.

I rename the old folder and reinstall the the Compile to a new folder and it works. but I think I know why it crash now. I bet it's because Sony had screw up the UI on the patch and if you have a UI window out off the edge it may cause a crash.

I'm crashing like mad at random times. It usually crashes when I alt-tab to another window.

I never crash when not running mq.

Running plain vanilla plugins, haven't added anything.

any ideas?

I just installed the current compile from you Jigs on three different computers. I do typically just unzip the new compiles over top of the folder for MQ2 already so all my ini's and macros' are already in place. Everytime I switch out of a window by any means (alt+tab, windowskey, mouseclick outisde window), I crash. I have done this on all three computers on all three ways. I had WinEQ loaded originally on these when loading. Tried without and same result. Then tried switching out of the EQ Instance running as already stated and crashed all ways. I have loaded up without MQ2 and no issues with alt+tab or windows keying out. I have loaded up with WinEQ, and no issues there either. Speculation is pointing to MQ2. Hope this information helps. Will post anything else I find with experimentation.

I'm crashing all over the place while running MQ2 as well. Always when alt-tabbing. I've pretty much done everything Rusty has done as well.

Updated Zips, they still remain as V8.0 but I changed the thread name to 8.1 to alert people changes have been made, normally I only update the number when a patch occurs. Also, will have the updated linkdb ini out with next update, along with the crashing issues problem resolved.

Downloaded new zip and did not copy any old files into the new folder. Still crashing (

High end setup machine, running 4-5 instances of eq at a time NP...Load up MQ2, CTD every time i tab to a diff window
 
all 5 instances of EQ runnin Fine after 8.2...THANKS A TON JIGS...I go through withdrawals of multiboxing when SOE pulls a ninja patch that kills MQ...if ya need a leader for the "pass the hat to help Jig's migraine med fund" Let me know

Hey Jigs.. just wanted to let you know that the last patched compile seems to have fixed the tab crashing. Great work man and thank you VERY much! You da man!

Just a small bug that is easy to fix if people hit 13th floor for new file when they download yours.. Please don't take this as a complaint but as a helping suggestion to make your release better.

Yeah, I noticed that, I just was tired last night and guess I didnt add the correct file that I had on my computer for mq2linkdb.

Wasnt there a problem with certain vid cards. I think i read in the patch notes about bad code causeing these vid cards to crash. That was one of the reasons for the patch. I might of read it on the SOE boards. Cant remember ...I knew i shouldnt of partied so hard

No Problems here, I'm 3 boxing and haven't crashed yet, only time cashed was when I tried to bank any where and tied to withdraw a Item from my bank. course I havent run any macros either :confused:

When trying to unzip 8.2 it asks for password for Mq2main.dll and Macroquest2.exe files. Anyone else get that?

This is using standard WinXp unzip. Tried JIGS and redguides so far for pw, no go. :)

Update: Just unzipped into new directory no problems, I guess it didn't want to overwrite 8.0 Mq2main and Macroquest2 files for some reason.
