Confirmed there is a cap on the amount of experience you can gain in Shrouded Form. There was no difference in my testing for killing for 15 minutes and 30 minutes for a 94 wizard after the experience gain from un-shrouding. However running under the same circumstances, killing for 10 minutes did not meet this cap, so for me, personally, I am killing in 15 minute intervals before collecting the XP. The amount of this Cap is unknown and the speed at which you kill will also have a huge impact on your own personal experience. You may need to test things on your own depending on the levels of characters you are PLing as well as the speed at which you kill and other factors.
Who: Gearbie Gogglenoggin
Where: Plane of Knowledge, near Soulbinder. 12th Anniversary Task
What: This Quest: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=5304
When: As long as the 12th Anniversary Task is offered
Why: To power level MAIN XP (Does NOT work for AAs) from levels 70-100. Does NOT work on lower level than 70.
How:
** For all intents and purposes, when I refer to "your 100", I'm actually just referring to your high-level character that is doing the killing. This works just as easily with a level 95.
1. Form your group which needs to include a high level (I use a 100 SK, I've also done this very very easily 2 years ago with the same SK at level 95). All other characters need to be minimum of level 70.
2. Go to a spirit shrouder and SHROUD EVERYONE IN THE GROUP TO LEVEL 70. MAKE SURE YOU ARE SET TO 100% MAIN EXPERIENCE. DOES NOT WORK FOR AA. The Shroud you use does not matter HOWEVER, you should make at least ONE of your characters to be a Goblinoid as they get Hide/Sneak and you will need it later on to make things go faster.
3. Get the task and zone everyone in except for your 100.
4. Once everyone is inside, REMOVE THE SHROUD FROM YOUR 100.
5 Zone the 100 in. Leave EVERYONE at the zone-in next to Gearbie. There is no reason for anyone else to leave the zone-in except for your optional Goblinoid who can come later on when you're ready to do the slaughtering.
6. Run to the very top of the Mech Guardian until you get to "The CPU". Kill any see-invis mobs along the way so your 70 Goblinoid guy can follow you up safely later on, or bring him with you as you go, doesn't matter.
7. Run your Globinoid Shrouded Toon up to the CPU where your level 100 is. Hide/Sneak and run the Macro that I provided. It will chain "/say 993333". What happens is this: If you enter the correct code of "/say 123456" you will complete the task. However, entering the incorrect code of "/say 993333" spawns 4 mobs. This happens an infinite number of times. Your 2nd character in Hide/Sneak will "/say 993333" to The CPU and it will continue to spawn mobs forever until you stop the macro. There is a limit of like 182 mobs that can be up at one time but your level 100 will be slaughtering so fast it wont matter.
8. Meanwhile at ZONE-IN, all of your shrouded toons will be gaining experience. Do this for as long as you want. If you want to check your XP, simply tell Gearbie to 'leave' and go un-shroud yourself to gain all of the experience. To zone-back in, Re-Shroud and tell Gearbie to let you back in.
9. In years past it generally took 3-4 hours to get 1 character from level 70-95. I've never done it post 95 but the concept is the same. You're gaining XP in shrouded form and it transfers all to you after you unshroud.
10. I just tested this to make sure it works and everything is a GO.
Any other questions feel free to ask but I tried to be as clear as possible here
*The macro is very crude but functional. Just be in range of The CPU and have your Goblinoid in Hide/Sneak mode or he WILL DIE. just run hail.mac and let it go. It is on a 2 second timer for the hails, so every 2 seconds you will get 4 spawns. If you want to speed it up or slow it down, edit the macro and on the line that says "/delay 20" adjust it. Every "10" is 1 second, so if you want it to hail every second, do /delay 10, for 5 seconds do /delay 50 etc..

The XP gain post 95 seems realllly slow (as expected), however, if you set up your 100 with something like Kiss/hunter or whatever and have your holys/downs set nicely, you can easily walk away from the computer for 6 hours. You'll just have to re-request the mission once you lose it and then re-do the tasks up to that point again which takes all of like 10 minutes at most.
Edit -- If you want to use XP POTS while shrouded: Put the XP Potions in your BANK. Then shroud, then walk back to your bank and grab your Pots. Don't bother using lesson or XP pots pre-shroud - it doesn't multiply after unshrouding. They only work while you're gaining the XP while shrouded.
Use caution if you use my hail.mac script. There is NO error checking such as if you were to go linkdead/zone-out/die/whatever may possibly happen and you end up outside the zone or at your bind point, you will be spamming /say forever and ever until you manually end the script.
