So, this has been bothering me for a while and I've tried tweaks and still can't get it working (I tried searching but came up at a loss as well - maybe I just suck
)
Anyhow, here is my setup and scenario:
I have a puller that is actually played by me with the rest of the group running on KA (with AutoCleric/AFKNuke where appropriate). Group consists of the tank, cleric, and 3 DPS in addition to the puller. I set the tank to tank/assist by targeting himself in camp. I have all other toons target the tank and have them assist him when starting up KA.
Now, sometimes when the puller is bringing in mobs, the tank will decide to rush out of camp and try to tank them even if they are super far away (and sometimes even if there is a mob in camp already). This obviously creates issues for splitting or if there is a mob in camp and he's set on another... well, then my group starts getting pounded on. The tank isn't set to assist my puller so why would he be intent on going after some of those targets?
The only way I can try and stop him once this occurs is by doing a /mqp or terminating KA or pretty much any other type of interrupt. The /switch command doesn't do squat in fixing it.
Advice? It's gotten the tank, and subsequently my group, wiped a few times when he brings in a pull I was trying to split across the zone.
ps. For additional reference, this seems notoriously bad in PoFear: Revisited.
