Not sure if anyone else is havn't this problem but on my EQEMU server whenever my guys are using Easy Find to move around it will sometimes just stop and say "[EasyFind] Failed to create translocator connection: Could not find "#Translocator Fithop"!" and then [EasyFind Could not find connection to "The Bazaar". If I then use the /easyfind reload zoneconnections.yaml command and tell them to move to Bazaar again it works just fine so it's almost like a bug with Easy Find?

Yes, happens to me randomly. Look at the image.. this is upon login (happens during play randomly throughout various zones that work), This is clicking Cntrl-Shift once, fail. Then twice..wait.. third time.. one more for fun.. huh.. works. lol.

Playing in a zone for hours, and then saying I better go back to PoK..and again, in a zone I know EasyFind has worked..it suddenly does not sometimes..or will not only for the driver but will for the group. MyPath by @grimmier works very good for EMU. I try to make my own zoneconnection yaml but its really odd how some things work in the coding and others are 'non standard'. The Lua (in yaml) for translocators are awesome though.

"Standard find window" functionality is what the find window does with the plugin isn't loaded. Normally when you click it sends a request to the server for a in-game particle trail to the target location. Since the custom locations aren't on the server, it can't do that, so the plugin locks it from happening.

in other words, it means the in-game window registered a regular click on the item in the list.

Never heard of this before. What zone? what command? where are you? where are you going? who is fithop? how did we get here? what is going on? who am i?

This only happens to me when i switch between emu servers. Laz has translocators SotB doesn't have and then I get the error that it can't find a connection.

Need to make sure your zoneconnections.yaml is accurate for the server you are playing on.

Happens in all zones from what I can tell. That exact example was Buckerblock heading to druid ruin and my custom port NPC that is at that location to port my group to Bazaar. Fithop is a Translocator that is in Butchblock at the docks, I believe that NPC is default for eqemu installs at this point. Now that I think about it all this normally happens when heading to an NPC to port to another zone. Command was /travelto Bazaar

@RYN227 - I built the zoneconnections.yaml from scratch. Guess I can go over it again to make sure everything is good but that really doesn't explain why it doesn't work and then works.

I am no expert on this, the EasyFind code nor the yaml, but I have been building my own yaml for Emu usage and like I said, some connections I have verified that work (through the find Window AND with Magellan) sometimes work, sometimes not. When they don;t work.. I try it a few times, sometimes it just decides to work, often I find if I use my left Cntrl and Left Shift key, it takes more than using the right Cntrl...I'm aware that sounds crazy. Also.. another example, today I had a zone that I updated (Gunthank>StoneBrunt) yesterday and nothing would get it to work yesterday, TODAY... it magically works. I can hit Magellan from guild lobby (7/10 times works..) and group runs from guild hall to stonebrunt. Some dudes seem to stop and forget what they were doing. So I have to remind them.

Would you mind sharing your Yaml? I have a few I have been working with, but not all entries work the same it seems. Like Verant/DBG/whoever built naming all weird along the way.

Forgive my question hoping in on this thread.. i've been gone a while and just getting more focused on EMU play. On live, i was able to do something like /travel to zonename and my team would auto run there. Does easy find allow me to do this on EMU? I've not played with it much... but for example an auto run from PoK to BoT for my raid.

Thank you!

Yes, this sort of thing is possible but not out of the box. You need to set a setting in easyfind UI that tells it to ignore what the server is telling it and instead use a file called zoneconnections.yaml that you have to create and populate.

An example of a zoneconnections.yaml can be found here: https://www.redguides.com/community/threads/mq2easyfind.64009/page-13#post-575109

This example is for lazarus and is incomplete but will give you an idea of what to look for. Others have shared pieces of their own zoneconnection.yaml as well. It was really helpful when I was learning how to make one.

Yes, it works on EMU, however, as you can tell by this thread it is kinda buggy. It's still way better than moving each character manually so I guess I'm just gonna put up with the buggy errors. Prob gonna build a bunch of paths with MyPath to eventually use as having a raid force stop moving on the way Soldungb or pofear sucks.

Just make sure you /mqconsole show, go to settings, then plugins and under easyfind make sure "Ignore Zone Connection Data" is checked. I was not able to get it work without having this checked.

@Redfrog - Attached is my yaml file.

Sorry that yaml was the wrong one (been jacking around with a new install to see if that helped fixed it so I'm all confused now). I've uploaded the right one now.

@Quiggley - Currently it's classic, prob some other stuff still in there but I use it on my classic server so I've only done classic zones.

I'd just start the with the default one that is included with the plugin as it has stuff even past PoP. Let me know if you want me to upload a copy.

I've been messing around with different stuff over the past few days trying to fix this problem. I changed the names of all the translocators in the yaml file and removed the "#" before the name in the database but still it does "[EasyFind] Failed to create Translocator Connection: Could not find "Nexus Scion" or any npc porter for that matter. This is looking like a bug in the code. I also played around with Grimmiers myPath and I think that is the way to go on this but it will take time to record everything.
