Question - Is skylance worth keeping?

It seems to me that since the focuses are on the visible items casters get a little screwed over by the chase loot (other than EM earing). The proc is 10k with 100% chance but I assume that is not affected by crits/mods?

I have not been playing my wizards lately so was just wondering if I should try to trade it or if it's worth equipping and trying out.

Also remember you can always use an Unattuner to make it tradable again.

i have a group with an enchanter, mage n wiz. I put a skylance on the wizard and the mage and the dps increase was substantial! So much so I may put one on the enchanter now as well!

If you do want to trade I have Skyiron Heater I would trade for it!

It is most definitely worth using if you keep your wizards all-access. The item crits since its a worn effect, its only clickies that don't crit (i.e. that piece of shit garbage mage summoned ice shard and orb for example, useless to cast those). I'm not sure what your total crit mod value is but the group version crits like 48k or something iirr. My guess is this probably does about 60k ish. You should never use a weapons+shield on wizard, the 2hb weapons are always worth using because the dps is decent from them, compared to all the other crap like mod2: spell dmg =worthless.


Also, I think you get double casts of it sometimes for some reason. My guess is if you have Ancient Hedgewizard Brew or Mana reinterate line up, it counts as a 2nd cast.

The only reason I don't use these is because the big advantage I see with wizards is that they're still good in groups while not all-access, and I am cheap!

I have it on my main wiz and OMG what an upgrade! use it, you can always unattune it later
