This has to do with an experience i had selling to a Barter, and my thoughts on the matter.
I debated where i should post this, and decided here would be safest for myself and best overall. A few months ago i came back to EQ after several years, i was last active during HoT. While I've used MQ2 for longer than i can remember I've never used something like KISS where you can auto farm stuff. Anyway, i have hoarded all sorts of crap over the years and I've been cleaning up stuff on my alts, i had literally close to 2000 Chronal Resonance Dust and saw they were going for over 200p on my server. I was transferring them to 1 character and selling them as i was finding them on different alts over the course of a few weeks, and tonight, the Barter i always sell to that's always highest buy price stopped his Barter mid sell, i sent him a tell just to joke around and also i'm a pretty social-able guy... he asked me how i had so many in such a short span of time and i told him the truth, i had them hoarded over the years, among a lot of other crap.
His response was something along the lines of "Ok i'm sorry but i'm suspicious of people like you that suddenly sell me high quantities of stuff over short time spans that isn't easy to farm" and he proceeded to tell me how he's bought stuff before from people before running some hack or something else a little off.
While ironically nothing i sold him was a result of KISS farming, it very well easily could have been. It made me realize i should probably sell stuff through several shill characters and to different Barters that have a competitive price, as in this case he seemed to always be beating someone in price by just 1 plat.
I'm enjoying this site and this community, i hope this helps someone else. I wasn't sure on a prefix, Strategy seemed closest, but i also didn't want to post this with such detail on level 1 forums....
