Fellowship experience (vitality) seems to be applying before the exp is put into the 'hidden' pool in the HA system. Make sure you're alts have plenty of vitality for leveling. You get the experience bonus as you kill. It also does not seem to be subtracting as fast as it would in other zones. I assume it's because you don't actually receive 'real' exp, so it doesn't take away the real exp from the vitality pool. We've done it with a couple of characters so far and it really makes a huge difference.
To get vitality, you add a character to your fellowship. Then you toggle xp sharing on. Play your other characters for a while. You'll come back to vitality. (Just in case anyone doesn't know.) Once you have a green bar, go run some gribble missions and watch the xp rake in.
