Question - I don't see anyone by that name around here...

Today while running heroic adventures I decided to target my pet when I started kiss.

This works fine for myself but the problem(s) started quickly.

I've named my pet using a potion to set the name to custom name.

However I kept getting spammed with I don't see anyone by that name around here many times a second.

Second problem is, despite targeting the pet with my other characters when I started kiss they refused to assist the pet. They would instead stand around doing their nails while I killed the mob.

So my question is this: is there anyway to have them assist my pet. I know I can set myself as the others assist while I assist my pet.

However I wanted to test some stuff while having them all assist my pet. But that doesn't work...

Mac kissassist pettank maybe?

If you are in pettank role the mage will not assist her pet, but will become the mainassist for herself. Now everyone else in the group can assist the pet with no issues. Not sure about the renaming of the pet though...

Hmm,.

I just hit f1 twice on mage and /mac kissassist
For the one others I hit the mages f key twice and /mlac issassist.

I basically want to have the pet set as the groups assist. Not sure if that's possible, might be why I am having problems.

Yes, you can have the mages pet set as MainAssist, but the Pets Master will be set as Group.MainAssist. I know that is a little confusing, but the Master can not assist off their Pet. The Pet will attack what the Master tells it to attack, but the Pet can NOT tell the Master what to do. So by default the Master of the pet is made Group.MainAssist and the Master will tell the pet what to attack, and the rest of the group will assist off the Pet..

Hmm..

Problem is the others who were not the pets owner were not assisting off it they just stood around doing nothing lol was wondering why it was taking so long to kill a mob until I noticed there were not dots from other classes etc on the mobs debuffs just my own.

the macro wasnt paused at all but yeah - enchanter didnt mez druid druid/chanter didnt dot the mob.

I will try again and see how it gos though :p
