what i did was copy this from compA to compB to comC .. ect.
in oder to used one compile MQ2 in all...

This is mush easy you way to hack MQAuth.exe and MacroQuest2.exe, by creating fake registry.

The MQ2 devs are consistently defeating the purpose of the EQ devs. I don't see why we should give one more loyalty than the other.

I used to compile MQ2 for my guild, and there sure were a lot of assholes in it.

Really though, if the EQ devs were ever going to crack down on MQ2 they would have done it by now. They don't view it as a threat because players tracking mobs and a running few tradeskill macros doesn't hurt subscriptions. It actually increases subscriptions in many cases, for example, if it weren't for MQ2 I'd have no use for my other accounts because I don't have enough hands.

Notice how SOE has only reacted when people started using the ghost plugins and other serious modifications to the game. That stuff kills subscriptions because non-cheaters get jealous. They really don't care about anything else.

Yeah, I would wager that the majority of MQ2 users are running simple macros and tracking mobs. They're the ones that don't stand out, because there is no way to tell that they're using it.

Anyway, we'll see how it goes without the auth system.

There are several ways to get around MQ2 auth system. One would be to simply use a different injector. Another would be to mass compile like we are doing here. This is just another way of getting around the auth system. I dont see the difference. Any of these will piss off the MQ2 devs.

I personally think people should compile MQ2 for themselves if they're going to use it. They will learn more doing it on their own than they will having it handed to them every patch. Now they don't even have to know how to DL the fucking mq2auth file and run it. This is just handing them literally everything imo that is a bad idea.

As you put it, anyone can use mq2 now anyway if they so desire, but someone like me who doesn't have the necessary program to compile it myself find it a great help that someone else here on this forum is kind enough to do it for me. I dont run any afk macros, I dont run any pl macro, I just use it to make parts of the game easier ie map/npc locs etc. I have never dared to use the warp side of it at all...

If anyone abuses the system too much, they will get caught eventually and banned ..... "assholes" (quote) gone .... only question is... am I one of those assholes (quote) because I can't compile it for myself?
