Hi ya'll well some of you know that I quit EQ about 2 or 3 months ago... Well after selling all my accounts ($600 was just too good to pass up) i've decided to start playing again lol. I'm on a new server Druzzil Ro (Xev) and starting from scratch as a shammy. So no more Cleric / Berserker(tank) macros... But i'm gonna be posting some shammy DoT macros. Since I don't really find leveling a bard up to be all that challenging and I'm open to ideas for shammy macros.
First one im gonna be doing is a simple macro. Basically since im in elite Gloomdeep gear I can't get hit by mobs... So my first macro will be what i'd like to call the way to DoT mobs and med at the same time without root.
Basically its a simple idea....
1. create 2 WP's (about 110 units away from each other)
2. Stack dots on mob.
3. Run macro.... basically sit down and it will ping pong you back and forth while you med.

Obviously there is some error checking... like mobs wondering and such... but for the most part will be easy to code. If anyone intrested just reply.. or if you have better ideas i'd love to hear em.

I would not suggest that. Do you want that many warps Logged in as i assume you will be warping from wp 1 to the other.

Seems kinda risky in a zone that's populated. Although I use something similar with my Necro when I aggro kite. I sit on my horse, /docrack noaccel, dot the mob up, warp and wait, re-dot as needed warping back and forth. I've never used this if 1 other PC existed in zone.

bah I've always been the one to test crap out. Generally as long as a ton of people aren't doing it you won't be banned. Except when those dumbasses started ghosting Tacvi lol that was a little extreme... but I doubt sony cares about a crappy shammy such as myself... So im gonna do everything under sun... as long as other players don't witness it ill be cool. Basically ill just be doing very basic early leveling macros... Got a working version of my shammy ping pong macro if anyone intrested. As the second poster said... it does involve a lot of warping.

should be pretty safe doing something like that in FH instanced... right?

not sure what zones might be unpopulated enough to run something like this...

i knowmost of the zones i PL in have 3-10 people at any given times.. cept like 3AM 8-)

Useless device but would be nice. I would like to have an odometer in EQ, find out exactly how many miles I do in a day kiting.

I don't play a shaman, but I was wondering.
could it be easily modified for all doting / rooting classes?
if so would you include instructions throughout the macro, stating what needs to be edited, where and how? or at least some guidlines so anyone with a brain could edit it.

editing it to fit a druid wouldn't be too hard I would assume. just remove the canibalize functions, if any, and changing spells around.

but for a necro you would have to include a check for hp to know when to cast, or click off a lich spell. As for your character being beaten down, add a /warp succor then fd when your character reaches bellow a certain % of hp, and a check for the monsters con. threatening or indifferent. to see if the Fd worked.

just a thought, and since you just got back and wanted something to do I figured I could pitch some ideas for your macro.
