Teek How to play on Truebox (Teek) without messing up my live characters

Hey all,

I'm very aware of the statements that say that MQ is not supported on truebox servers. I use redguides to great effect on a live server.

I'm thinking of playing on Teek for a bit until the new expansion on live. How do you all who have redguides on live make sure that you aren't using it when playing on a truebox server? Is it as simple as not loading MQ2 before loading EQ and just using the EQ launcher? Is there anything else I need to do? I don't want to remove my redguides install as I've spent a lot of time getting it set up correctly.

If you don’t load macroquest it won’t load on Teek, but historically there seems to be a link between suspensions/bans and TLPs, even if you don’t use MQ there. I’m planning on playing there and will just create a new account and eat an extra krono every month

don't have MQ loaded, don't have myseq loaded, don't have redguide's launcher loaded - basically nothing mq or mq-ish related loaded --- installed is fine, running no

@CorvFV Did you save a name? The one issue I have with the above is that I'd reserved a name I want to use from one of my main accounts. I have a 7th unused gold account I would love to be the TLP account, but I'm struggling with how I'd get the name from the reserved account onto the 7th account. I guess just release the name on my main account and then log back in quickly on the 7th account and hope it hadn't been used up in the 10 minutes it takes me to re-log in and set up the new character?

that's about all you can do. To cut down the time needed to swap, if you have a second PC, you can have the main account and 7th account loaded on different PCs and be ready on the 7th account to grab the name as soon as the main account releases it.
