I don't have MQ installed yet, I can't even login to Test.Have you disabled Dannet in MQ.ini? If not, that will crash you (unless @Cybris has solved this already).
try this use --disable-gpu as an option to get rid of the blank launcher.Mine consistently crashes. Am I missing a step?
Thanks that was it.try this use --disable-gpu as an option to get rid of the blank launcher.
Make sure that the Crosstie installs DX9 but you can cancel the EQ DX9 install.
Even though it's DX11 you still need DX9 as Daybreak is using a DX9 wrapper to do DX11 calls.
Good times.

need to do these two steps:redguides launcher isn't displaying tho![]()
On the application tab add your custom .exe make sure it is highlighted after adding
Click Libraries add dxd9 and set to disable this will only be for your custom .exe
I believe I have, the random name .exe is in my wine config and dxd9 is disabled.need to do these two steps:
make sure you install .net 4.8 and Visual C++ redistrib 2015-2022 64bit for Redguides Launcher to work.I believe I have, the random name .exe is in my wine config and dxd9 is disabled.
Edit, if i switch from DXVK to D3DMetal, the launcher shows up as a black box
I did, and I just tried to run their Repair, same for RG. I even set the registry keys. The black box has its buttons as I can click the X in the top right and Login somewhere in the middle opens the link in my browser. IDK whats going on lol.make sure you install .net 4.8 and Visual C++ redistrib 2015-2022 64bit for Redguides Launcher to work.
Make sure you are using the crosstie in Crossover to install EQ it installs the dependencies needed for EQ to run.Mine consistently crashes. Am I missing a step?
1) Make new win7 x64 bottle
2) Use eq installer
3) Let EQ fail to install DX
4) Install eq and set to Test
5) close launcher, toggle on DXVK
6) open launcher (window is blank)
7) eq loads lets me connect to test
8) crashes just before char select screen
sounds like you are trying to run on test if so make sure to turn on DXVK don't use D3DMetal. Again this is only for the Test Server which is running the DX11 client. This has not been pushed to live yet.I am a bit confused about the fix for getting the toon to show in game? I can log in fine...just won't draw any of the graphics for the toons themselves.
hmm tested autologin on 23.7.1 and worked fine for me on Live and Test. Make sure you are running MQ from the same bottle you are running the EQ client. For example I have separate bottles for EQ Live and EQ Test and run MQ for Live from the live bottle and MQ for test from my Test Client Bottle.Something I've noticed with the latest version of CrossOver (23.7.1) is that everything appears to load correctly but MQ isn't actually injected into EQ. If I run the debug console I see it detecting the processes and injecting, but AutoLogin doesn't work.
make sure you do the d3d9 application disable override for your custom .exeHi,
I have a 2023 15" M2 MacBook Air. I followed the directions exactly, including turning on DXVK. I can play EQ fine on crossover, but the RG launcher won't open. When I double click the RG icon in crossover a black window will appear for about half a second then it disappears. The RG icon will stay in the taskbar but it doesn't do anything. Any idea what I can do? Thanks.
Yeah IDK whats wrong, everything was working fine then suddenly one day it stopped.hmm tested autologin on 23.7.1 and worked fine for me on Live and Test. Make sure you are running MQ from the same bottle you are running the EQ client. For example I have separate bottles for EQ Live and EQ Test and run MQ for Live from the live bottle and MQ for test from my Test Client Bottle.
If you switch bottles you need to stop MQ and then relaunch it from the current bottle you are using or it will not inject as it cannot see the client from another bottle.

yep no problem, You are correct no need to install DX9 and the installer for EQ does not try to install dx9 the Crosstie in Crossover was updated to handle this as well.I'm guessing I'm late to the party and lots has changed with DX11? I don't get an option to install any DX whether I use a local install or a crosstie for EQ. When I install either, it will error out saying EQ hasn't been installed, but if I hit skip, I can't play EQ but I can get RG launcher to start, but not MQ2.
If I install EQ fresh from crosstie without doing anything else, EQ runs fine, but then I can't get the launcher to work.
I still get an error at the end of the EQ install, and RG still isn't launching. I run it twice and add the dx9 disable to the funky.exe.yep no problem, You are correct no need to install DX9 and the installer for EQ does not try to install dx9 the Crosstie in Crossover was updated to handle this as well.
So, use the Crosstie to install EQ and you'll be fine.
Yes, win7 64 bit.Just ignore the error at the end of the EQ install.
For the RG launcher not opening is your bottle a win 7 bottle?
Yep, followed your instructions step by step. The only thing I can think of is I'm on a Silicone Mac, did you do this on an intel? I was assuming you were on silicon, otherwise you would have just done bootcamp.hmm since you already put in the override for dx9 did you make sure to install .net 4.8 and Visual c++ 2015-2022 64-bit runtime?
Nope, M1 MacBook Pro.Yep, followed your instructions step by step. The only thing I can think of is I'm on a Silicone Mac, did you do this on an intel? I was assuming you were on silicon, otherwise you would have just done bootcamp.
It's for the one in the RedGuides/Desktop folder. I assume that's the launcher one. Since I haven't gotten the window up to actually install MQ, I don't think I have an MQ funky.exe yet.Nope, M1 MacBook Pro.
Make sure the dx9 override was for the RG launcher funky.exe not the MQ funky.exe
The launcher never comes up at all for me to click anything. I run it once and it gives me the little box about migrating settings, then when I run it the second time, it never gives me a window. When I get home I'll do a screen recordahh looks like maybe it bugged out or something when you were supposed to click the login button on the launcher to connect your RG forum account to the launcher.
I would delete the folder the launcher is in and reinstall RG launcher.
oopsie thanks typo fixed on OPI figured out one of the issues. Your instructions say to add "dxd9" but further in the thread you mentioned "d3d9". That made the difference
