Question - How do you handle multiple classes overbuffing each other?

Not a request, nothing wrong, just wondering how other people handle CWTN plugins from all buffing the same buff at the same time in the same order in a raid setting.

Clerics for example, will cast their group virtue buff on their own group first, then what seems to be ascending order in the raid to each group. What ends up happening is all clerics will buff the same group, at the same time, in the same order.

Or, when one person dies, and is rezzed, all clerics will end up casting group virtue on the toon at the same time, wasting a lot of mana. This effects all class plugins that do group buffs when you have multiple of the same class. Do you do a react saying "if target has xyz buff, then interrupt?"

Also, for rezzing, any way to not have all clerics rez the same corpse at the same time in the same order? I have a react that stops the rez when the target already accepted a rez, that saves on time somewhat.

Again, no issues, everything is working as intended, just wondering what big boxers out there have done to combat these issues.

buffing - determine what buffs you want if there are ones that conflict, and block what you don't as suggested in the FAQs specifically about that behavior.

you might want to only have certain toons buffing or rezzing so if you don't want other people doing it, either turn off buffing by going byos, or rezzing by turning off rezzing, or keep them out of raid mode so they only care about their own group. and then you only have bill worrying about bill's group for buffing, and belinda caring about belinda's group.

I would not use a react - you're going to have a bad time just smashing interrupt. I would set up your toons how you want them to be setup.

just think about what they're doing - if you're in raidmode they're going to treat the raid like their own group, if they're not, they'll only worry about their group.

Ya, all of that makes sense, and I do only have a couple clerics rezzing. But I do want all, for example, shamans buffing the entire raid because it’s faster, and will automatically summon a pet when needed, etc. byos there is not enough spell slots to do it all.

I’m not talking about buffs I don’t want, I already block them. I’m talking about 5 clerics casting the same spells at the same time in the same order in the raid is all. Or 3 shamans carrion champion on the same group at the same time.

Turning off raid mode is interesting. I could turn on xtar buffing and target the “bottom” groups in the raid window, causing one shaman to hit the bottom groups instead of top ones. I like that idea, thank you, I’ll map that out a bit and see how it goes

nah, there's no way to do that, just by managing your xtarget and/or raidmode like i mentioned. but should be able to use combinations and sort it out

Oh I know there is no way to do what I’m talking about, nor should there be. I’m using your plugins to box 40, or really what they are intended for, but they are far and above the best option on the market. I’m looking for hacks of your program (not in the literal verbiage, it more exactly what you mentioned or no raid mode).

I’ll play with the xtar non raid idea, I think that has a lot of promise for my situation

Yup, feel free to keep spitballing.

We know a lot of folks who run very large teams with nothing but the plugins (cept a bard or few heh) and do everything

Yup! i run all plugins also, and i run all other classes without plugins using Kiss (no necro yet though). And, well, it's apparent what is running CWTN and what isn't because, well, the ones that run Kiss suck lol.
