isnt there a command or something you can type where it will tell you your home town??

Not that I am aware of. There is the "Return Home" ability at character select. Trick is, you have to be logged out for a certain length of time. 6 hours if I remember correctly.

There's a command that will tell you your bind. It's /charinfo. I don't know of any command that tells you your hometown though.
