This event is really killing us. We tried it many times and best we can do is 36%.

Our strategies are either

1. The whole raid kill any adds showing up including sprouting succulent to avoid extra adds, then back to Boss, but it's hard to keep the pace seems.

2. Save the 1st Burgeoning succulent, mega burn on Boss at first, then back to the route, ADDS--Boss.

But either way seems no working for us.

We are a heavy box guild with constantly 54 raid toons. We win TOD and Gorowyn easily.

The roster may have some problem though, we do have a lot zerkers, a few casters on this though. (No Rng/Mnk/Rog/Nec/Dru in our guild sadly, 10+ Zerkers, and some bards/bst/mag/wiz though)

We found that it is

1. Somehow extremly hard for the box kiter to kite renegade steadily and constantly, any tricks on that plz?

2. Spiteful Succulent did not summon, is there a way to kite them or avoid part of them? They have too many hp to handle.

Anyway, anyone have more specific details on this raid besided the Freelance Website plz? Any suggestion or experience are welcome!

(I was thinking of the dps under performance but we did it easily win TOD and Gorowyn, and the numbers we did in other raid seems ok.. We can burn for more than 5000-6000k in other event but in OT our sustained dps seems really low due to DPS death or some other turnovers (around 2200k--2600k) )

Any helps will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

This is how we do it. My suggestions is work up a few rangers and a necros or two, they are handy on more than one fight...

Put rangers (in your case casters on sprouting), rest of raid on adds. Have someone kite renegades away from raid (we use a sk). Necros on dotting the boss down to control the hp adds. Everyone off the burgeoning when the hp adds are due. That's the basic strat. The other important thing is where you locate the raid at. Running when the boss starts throwing spines is important. DPS switches to boss at about 12% and the burgeoning are offtanked.

I use this for running
Code:
#event RoS1Run "#*#My spines will find a target, #1# and #2#.#*#"

Sub Event_RoS1Run(string line, string p1, string p2)

    /if (${Me.Name.Equal[${p1}]} || ${Me.Name.Equal[${p2}]}) {
        /backoff
        /stick pause lock
        /nav wp run
        /delay 12s
        /nav wp back
        /stick unpause lock
        /backoff
    }
/return

Thanks for your input @sl968
I did setup the similar emote, but didn't hav the chance to test it cause we were not in that phase yet..

I digged some video through youtube and twitch but seems their burgeoning spawns every 100-120s and our spawn every 80s or so based on our log???

Is there anything that related to the burgeoning spawn rate or pure dps race it is?? Thanks

It's really a dps check as mentioned...

Goro is a light dps check, since it's a short burn and otherwise just about a bit of control for off tanking

What is TOD? Temple of droga? That's a big step below really in terms of dps req

If your guild is heavy on boxers, if you have issues with certain boxes not being able to do something which causes other issues just make sure it's clear that what ever else they are boxing comes second to making sure they kite that add out... Their dps bot losing some dps for a short bit means nothing if the renegade isn't kites away and blows up other dps and adps...

Much like the emotes starting... Anyone failing to move away can easily cause a wipe

Make sure if you have excess tanks they are burning / classes are using alliance etc. Every bit helps and makes a difference

If all you hit is up to temple of droga in EoK maybe have a look at doing some of chardok raids, queen is probably a good benchmark before OT when it's done properly

1.Sprouting>Burgeoning>Pitiful>Surreal>Spiteful is the order to take out mobs, all dps should be on adds when they are up besides some dots on named (Nec,Shm,Enc). Not over dpsing the named vs. clerics not going oom is the real check here.

2.Timing your % based adds with your killing of a Burgeoning is key so you don't end up with 8-10 mobs to tank at once. If you can't get caught up on adds by the time next % based spawn, then you have failed the dps check and will never catch up. Also, if your not getting caught up during the beginning of the fight you will never last past 30% when key chars are being pulled out of the action.

3. I highly doubt a box is going to kite the spiteful effectively.
