THIS WON'T WORK WITHOUT THE SPECIAL MESH, DOWNLOAD IT HERE:

This guide will succesfully let you AFK farm in Heart of Fear: The Epicenter, a Rain of Fear Tier 4 zone.

You can't bind there, so once you get to the safespot/campspot, make sure you set up a campfire immediately. Both invis and ITU are needed to reach the spot, assuming there are no nameds up.

Don't worry about 'a powerful apparition'. It's a huge undead ape, but he will not agro and can not be agro'ed. So you will need to add him to your ignore and mezzimmune list, otherwise your mezzer will try to mezz each time he walks by.

  • Lightblue circle = Campspot. It's 100% safe, so you can go AFK there without worries.
  • Black dot = Regular mobs, also two Alaran amongst them for evolving your Tear of Alaris.
  • Red dot = a dire shiverback - make sure you add him to your ignore list or your puller will get stuck trying to pull him..
  • Blue dot = a Herald of Fear - drops a nice ac aug (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=112557)
  • Yellow dot = Grizelna the Mad - she casts a nasty dot, but somehow my team can handle it without trouble. If she gives you trouble, you can always lower your MaxRadius.

[Settings]

  • MaxRadius=425
  • MaxZRange=50

Right now everything I've tried from the safe camp has been a bust besides one thing I'm trying out right now. I've tried messing with the Z-Radius, i'm almost positive that is a no go. I've moved around in that safe camp to try to get a better pull on the Yilsme spawn. It works for awhile and then for some reason my puller gradually starts pulling from the middle of the area and grabs the 3 mobs.

Right now I've put a disembodied phantasm, a tumultuous toad, and a depraved samhain on IGNORE. I'm pulling from the middle of that area with a MaxRadius of 460. So far I've been able to pull every PH with this setup. The disembodied phantasms that spawn along my pull route just get added to pulls. My team is able to handle 2 or 3 pretty easily. I'm going to let it run for awhile and I will update this with my results.

Ok... Grizelna the Mad. Casts a snare/dot that cannot be dispelled and nukes you for 600k if you don't move 60 units away. How are you killing her? Do you keep your casters a ways back from your MT?

OUCH! Lol

What's important with those 3 mobs in the back, is the pulling order. Yilsme/PH needs to be pulled first or on the way back when pulling those 3 mobs it will add and cause a certaint wipe if it's a named.

LOL I didnt know that about Grizelna, I only been to that zone for a day. Willl have to pay a closer look to how I kill her, I was too focussed on pull paths, range, etc. that I forgot how I managed the nameds =)

Back to testing as we speak.

Made a new mesh (only 250kb), but it seems you can't upload bin files, so the download link is adjusted.

The new mesh will cover the whole picture you see below, so if you wanna experiment moving your campspot, you should be okay. I tested a new campspot where you can pull all PH's for nameds, but I do ocassionally get stuck below the ramp to get to the 3 alaran mobs. So that's a major bummer.

The red circle is the camp I am experimenting right now, this is not a safe spot, but it keeps mobs in camp the whole time. Only one alaran agro's in that camp so it shouldn't be a problem for your team.

The only issue is this spot has when going up the ramp to pull the 3 alaran, if you fall down you are stuck and this will happen occasionally :S

Back to testing =)

Been trying to get a nice AFK setup for all 5 PH's, but it's not safe in any way I tried. If you want to try it, I advise doing it while you are near your computer.

Changed the top thread to a guide for 4 PH's and removed the Yilsme spawn, but feel free to experiment and give feedback ofcourse =)

Enjoy!
