Near the dead side zone in Upper Guk, there is a Decrepit Froglok. Say the word 'defend' and you get offered a monster mission.

What sets this mission apart from all the others I have been on so far is the fact that this mission can be run solo. You still need at least 3 people in the group to start it, but only one person has to be inside to run the mission.

You need to be familiar with lower Guk in order for this to work, and the mission can be accomplished alone in about 20 minutes. Group members outside the mission get reduced XP.

The mission consists of you running around and training 30 raiding NPCs out to the zones. No fighting really, once you see the NPCs start to run around they are activated and running towards the zone. You don't even have to attack them if you don't want to. If you hit the zone while in the misson you get sent back to the starting point, which is the Executioner's room.

Watch out for faction, and familiararity with the zone is a MUST. Mission can be finished in 20-25 minutes, and the mission can't be done again for 45 minutes from the start, so that's about 1 AA per 45 minutes.

A chest spawns at the zone in, but the loot is an all/all range item or chain gloves. Neither piece is particularly good.

Good luck and happy hunting.

wasnt able to loot chest after mission was completed.. tried /open and tried attking it but none worked.

All you need to do is click ~Open~ to open the chest. But it will not let you open it if you still have aggro from any of the npc's that are still running to zone.

Speaking of chest, I have try to open lot of chest in a DoN mission where you play Pirate Assaulting Freeport, but I can't pick lock them because im missing tools, and I never find them in inventory or on a corpse, so maybe someone already made this mission before and know.

also you'd be in monster form in the missions so cant TF gear :p

Unless your on about other chest.

Any idea on getting any chest to try this on other than epic chests?

Get Mission ... Choose Knight

Make 3 hotkeys:

1. /warp target
2. /warp succor
3. /sit

Run around or twiddle your thumbs for 2-4 minutes until mobs start to pop. Open your MQ2 window and do a cursory scan for yellow/white cons. These are the guys you need to train. Occasionally you will find a dark blue one, so turn on labels now and then to check.

1. /warp target
2. melee until they run
3. /warp succor

*rinse and repeat

If you run out of mobs up that aren't already running just stay at succor and heal up. If you do it right you shouldn't die at all. Best run I've made so far was about 15 minutes, but then only because i was waiting on mobs to spawn.

All in all this is a very easy mission and isn't very widely used. GM's will be more likely to be watching fairy at least at this point in time. Use it if you want. It's the fastest aa's I can find, but it might be hard to automate fully.

beware. this mission is already being watched. had a GM roll up on me while I was sitting around waiting for lock out to expire.

/who npc 48..../target 48 dar, /warp, /target 48 human, /who npc 49....etc...

Did this a couple of times this AM. It is kind of fun. It's easy but if you do it solo, its going to take you a while. The in game map is pretty much useless.

You don't actually have to train to mobs to a zoneline, you just need to agro 30 mobs, and get away. The mobs will stop chasing pretty quickly but their pets can be a major PITA, as they will not stop chasing you until you stop and kill them.

Easy way to get away from the mobs is to use the ladders and pits. They dont handle chasing you cross-level very well.

I got 89% of an AA for this on all of my level 65 toons, including the ones I parked in GH. My friend did it on his 59 druid and only got about 4% in real exp (not AA). I suspect it is geared towards 1AA for a level 70 and scales down from there.

BTW, you play this mission as a level 50 Guktan Froglok. My advice is to pick a WAR, for the HP's. You have a few other options, but the idea is to stay alive as long as you can while training mobs around the zone, so HP's are your friend.

I tried to do this mission yeasterday... All the PC mobs just stood there until I attacked them. When I attacked them, they smacked me around for ~500 a pop and still didn't leave the zone. Anyone else seeing this?

I think everyone else has seen this. :p Nobody I know can even figure out how to complete the mission now. I've smacked them and ran to zone line, just to have them follow me up and keep beating on me. The general thought is the mission is broken.
