Question - General Chat as Free2Play Player

I remember some two years back on Daybreak forums there was lament that Free2Play players couldn't access /general .

Someone mentioned that a workaround was editing the UI_character_server.INI

Well, I tried manually changing autojoin channels to something like

ChannelAutoJoin=general, newplayers

, but it simply ignores the general

I wonder if it has been ner.. er.. fixed or I am missing a step somewhere.

Such a small thing but so annoying I'd actually pay some money to Daybreak to access /general as F2P.

Yeah, that has not worked for a long time. Autojoin settings can be set inside the client, but eq won't let you in without the proper account status.
